We had similar poor experiences as the other reviewers. Joey did not finish the job and never gave us the warranty paperwork. When we called him about this he and his assistant gave us the runaround- He never showed up when he said he would and now we can't get ahold of him at all. The voice mailbox is full. We will be filing a complaint and I will continue to warn consumers about his shoddy work. I will update my reviews if Joey makes it right. Save yourself a big headache and find a legit and honest HVAC repairman. You get what you pay for. I learned my lesson!
I would give this 0 stars if I could. I was out of town and a tenant called to let me know that the hvac wasn't working. So I called the only 24 hour line I could find in my area. THIS WAS A MISTAKE! They said that they could be out by 9 that night. the tenant was home and did not receive a call until 10:30 to let them know that they were 30 min out. They never showed up to fix the hvac. I call the next day and they have us scheduled between 2 and 4, but did this without notifying us at all. We had to reschedule for the next morning as we could not make this time work. They leave an invoice with the tenant but it has no itemized cost. It only included the part that was replaced but no labor time and no item cost. They start calling my roommate for payment instead of me after I explicitly told them who to call and what to call them for. Now they want me to pay 400 for a $12 part and an hour of labor. I realize that this was a short notice call and that could include markup for part and labor. I'm totally fine with that as it's 95 degrees outside and I have pets that need air conditioning. They did not give me an estimate and expected me to pay with out having seen an invoice. This is all on top of terrible services. They are very difficult to get on the phone and do not communicate changes in planned times. They constantly interrupt me on the phone. I told them that I just wanted to see an invoice before payment but I was told that they performed a service and expected payment and then they threatened to come and remove the part. Overall this was a terrible experience. DO NOT CALL HERE.
After 4 visits I still don't have a heater that works. For almost every visit he wouldn't show until after 9pm to do any work and then would leave in a hurry. In addition to not fixing the heater, he left the unit running without a filter, left the unit so that the only way to turn it off was at the breaker, and tracked mud through the apartment. After scheduling yet again to get it fixed he missed the 12-2pm window and then said he'd be between 9-10pm. Then, after saying he was on the way at 10:40pm, he never showed and stopped responding. He's a nice guy but not reliable or thorough.
Joey has been out to our home several times when we have had issues arise and has promptly resolved our problems. We have an old 1920s home with major appliances that are "at life expectancy" according to our inspection. We have expressed to Joey that we need to try everything we can to make them run as long as possible due to the costs of replacement. He has gotten our A/C working after being broken in the dead of summer 3 times now. We tried to install a new thermostat and didn't understand how to rewire the new one. He came quickly and got us back up and running.
***WARNING*** DO NOT Trust Joey!! I hired him to do work almost a month ago and he has not completed the work. He will take your money and stop answering your calls. He will tell you he’s going to show up and never will. His work is terrible! I wish I would’ve read these reviews before I hired him and now I have to take him to court. Please save your money and go with someone trustworthy.
TERRIBLE!!! He removed our working water heater and destroyed it. Pulled a bait and switch on the new water heater tried installing a used water heater of a smaller capacity and different brand and vented it in a location not agreed upon and destroyed our dryer vent. Shoddily attached it to the wall with damaged wood. They smoked cigarettes in our crawl space. Cancelled on us twice and then finally showed up 6 hours late at 6pm. Lots of excuses. At midnight we finally told them they had to come back the next day to finish; they promised to be back at 9am the next day because they left us without hot water and an unvented dryer. They NEVER came back to finish the job or get their equipment. The owner would never return our calls. The said they would issue a credit, then never posed it to our card and then told us twice they mailed us a check and never did- thank goodness for challenging credit card charges! We had to hire someone else to fix what Pulliam messed up. We were concerned about their low price and regret not listening to our instinct on this. Note that their good reviews are by people obviously related to them. DO NOT HIRE!!!
Replace faucet poorly. Broke faucet. Also replace hot water valve and hooked up to cold water. Try calling him to repair each items, said he would be over in two hours. He never show up. Try calling him back and no answer. I will not recommend this guy to anyone.
Rating is zero, but that’s not an option. Someone robbed my copper from my house and Pulliam was recommended on the Nextdoor app. I gave him a deposit - thank God not more! The man did oh so many things wrong! Trunk lines are supposed to be three-quarter inch his were 1/2”. Every fixture should T off to 1/2” he had multiple fixtures off a T. He did not install a main shut off. He used blue and red lined pvc for the same water line. Pex pipe was not used near unheated crawlspace exterior windows. The wrong glue was used to connect pipes. The work was not tested before leaving. Multiple water leaks occurred. His worker literally used gorilla glue on toilet shutoff valve. He installed pvc pipe on the hot water tank instead of copper. And those are just some of the wrongs... don’t even get me started on his “I’m on my way now” lies! I have every text he ever sent with my responses and pictures of his ... do I dare say “work”?
