It really just depends on when you go. Sometimes there are lots of adorable puppies to play with and other times there are only a few breeds. Maybe call ahead to see how many puppies they have to make sure it's worth it! Also, it was disturbing to me that they never take the puppies out of the bin during their stay. They have no opportunity to run around but are always locked in their crate until they are sold!

The puppy barn is a very fun place to visit. They take a terrific job of taking care of the puppies, they make sure they have nap time, are well fed, and visitors are patrolled to make sure that they actually wash their hands regularly. A couple things to be aware of, you must be 21 or older to hold the puppies, and the puppies get priority over you. If the puppies are asleep directors will let them sleep despite what you might want.

This place is strictly for business and money, not for the puppies. They make it look cute and like they take care of the dogs as it's just for appearance only. If the place didn't look cute, there wouldn't be as many people interested. They get their puppies from puppy mills where dogs are treated horribly, and sell the puppies as soon as 5 weeks old telling you that they are at least 8 weeks!! This place does not see the dogs as anything more than a way to make a profit. Do not support a place that treats dogs this way! There are plenty of other dogs out there who would love a second chance or a place to call home!

I took my son and my niece, both two years old. I didn't realize the puppies were in raised bins, too high for the kids to look in, so I spent most of our time carrying both kids around so they could see the puppies. And there were so many people when we went that we only got to interact with a couple puppies. It's a fun idea in concept, but it didn't work out too well for us.

My kids loved it! We loved petting the puppies and playing with them in the little enclosed space they have. It's also great if you are looking to get a puppy but aren't sure what kind.
