Licensed Massage Therapist & Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork
About Mckenzie Merges, BCTMB (Kenzie)
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist who has been working in the Twin Cities for over five years. My massage style is unique because I was trained at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. My education there was immersive and intense, but a wonderful experience.
At CRSMT I learned many skills and modalities from amazing and qualified professors from around the United States, the most important thing I learned is how to help people feel great in their bodies. When a client communicates their aches and pains to me I personalize their massage to help relieve those problems.
I provide clients with skills to get them functioning in a more efficient manner and thereby helping their body to move more freely and openly. Not only do I help relieve their pain through massage therapy, but I also help educate them on ways to prevent the pain from returning as often, and how to possibly avoid that pain all together. With these new skills and this knowledge, my clients are better prepared to meet the stresses of everyday life.
My Massage philosophy:
Massage is not a luxury. Massage a way to help maintain your physical wellness and keep your body functioning efficiently throughout your life.
Try to think of it this way; we take our motor vehicles in to get general maintenance and an oil change three or four times a year. We do this because we know it's the best way to make a vehicle function correctly and last a long time. Now think about the fact that our bodies are our everyday vehicles in life. Without maintenance and general upkeep the overall condition of that vehicle will deteriorate.
A massage is a very healthy and relaxing way to provide that necessary maintenance. Massage helps stimulate the body's many systems and gets them moving again. We can purchase an unlimited amount of motor vehicles throughout our lifetime, but we only get one body. It should be a priority to take special care in maintaining the overall wellness of that body. If you are getting your oil changed more than you are getting massage, consider letting me show you how regular massage therapy can provide the maintenance your body needs.
I can help you feel great in your body.
