A nice and quite Mediterranean place on the busy Washington Street! Plenty of options on the menu which can be customized as well. Found a lot of healthy options too! The service is bit slow, even on a non busy day.
I loved this place when I worked in Morristown and tonight I picked up using "Too Good to Go." The rice bowl I got is fresh and vibrant. The atmosphere in Hoboken was very different than in the burbs! Much more Parisian cafe than falafel place.
THE Best Pita place I've ever ate at! Was so delicious. A large variety of healthy options, overall very pleasant atmosphere. Can't wait to go back again!
I tried bowl, created my own by selecting grains/greensQuinoa, 4 fillers, mainchicken and DressingGarlic Aioli. It was delicious.
I ordered from this place before and it was great, everything was wonderful. However this second time I placed two an order for two different bowls and added a bunch of extra items at extra cost to the bowl I built for myself and for some reason they put most of the stuff I ordered onto the second bowl with a few things on mine. And the way they were split it wasn’t possible to take them off the other bowl. It might seem like a simple thing but it was disappointing when I was really looking forward to it and didn’t get to eat half of what I paid for.
I'm not sure what happened in the last few months with this restaurant. The bowls here used to be delicious. My assumption is that around the same time they updated their marketing material such as their menu, they might have changed owners as well. For instance, the build your own bowl option has gone downhill substantially. It used to be that they allowed 3 fillers included with the cost of the bowl, now, the only thing that comes with the bowl is brown rice, meaning, you're paying $10 right off the bat for hard, poorly cooked, brown rice and anything you add on is an additional cost like $6 for a piece of salmon, 50 cents for a few sprigs of arugula and 50 cents for a couple of cubes of roasted beets that have definitely never been roasted. I'm not sure why they have become so miserly with their portions or why the quality of food has gone down but I really hope they can turn this around as I appreciate healthy food options and there aren't that many places that offer clean eating.
I went there for the first time and it was a bad experience. The service and staff are awesome the place is clean and very open. But the food was HORRIBLE. it felt like I was eating cardboard. I had the Hawaiian chicken platter and the chicken was really tough to cut by a butter knife they provided. There was zero taste in their food. The only reason it's Hawaiian bc they placed a pineapple slice on top. And food was cold. I also had the chicken rice bowl and again tasteless and tough to eat. I mean Healthy doesn't mean tasteless or cold or eating cardboard. I would never go there again.
The food was quite good, but service wasn't good. My husband ordered salamon, and I ordered shawarma platter with fries as a side. The waitress did not bring my fries. I think she forgot them it's okay I also realized that I did not need them after starting to eat. She charged us for the fries that we never havethe platter was supposed to come with warm pita. We never had that too. The service was just as bad.
I was in NJ and I had some free time before heading back to CT. I looked up a few places to find something to eat, and this place came up. Before I got there I happened upon another place with "pita" in the name and I am so glad that I kept walking! I had walked about 15-20 mins. The resturant was nice and cool and clean. The environment was chill and it seemed like the employees like each other. I had never been there before so I ordered a side of falafel and an ice tea. As I completed my order, the managerowner ? let me know that it would take a little longer because they had just changed the oil...Yes!! I did not mind waiting because falafel fried in old oil... tastes like falafel fried in old oil. The falafel gives me an indication of how the rest of the food will be. The falafel was good, the ice tea was delicious. Real brewed, mellow, and it didn't taste old. All of the servers were friendly. I enjoyed my small taste and ordered food to go. The veggie sandwich was good, but the hummus...OMG it was the bomb!! I hope that my daughter didn't eat it all, lol. I hope that they keep up the great work. It was nice to be in an establishment where it is clean, and the employees are nice and the food is good. Definitely should be the standard.
I ordered stuffed grape leaves, and it tasted sour, which it’s not supposed to. I'm giving two stars since they were fast at preparing. Otherwise, the food doesn't even worth 1 star
