QS Nurses

This company contacted me about my resume, then when I made an inquiry about a position posted on Facebook I was immediately blocked. Evidently this company wants to advertise on Facebook but will only speak about positions in private. After speaking with a few current and former employees about about pay and benefits, I was told that the company actually deducts the 31 cents/mile from the employee's hourly wage then pays it back to them as a tax free reimbursement. This is NOT mileage. For those new nurses who don't already know, mileage is paid to you as an extra, separate, tax free check for the company use of your personal vehicle, and it should never be deducted from your hourly wage. It makes me wonder what kind of tax write offs this company is claiming, I'm sure the IRS would be interested in these "reimbursements" that are actually being charged to the employees.
