Buyer Beware! I've used this optician several times in the 9 years I've been in Sunnyside. However, things have definitely changed where the quality of the lenses is concerned. My recent experience has been problematic from the very beginning. I called and asked Robert, the owner, if he was still running his special on progressive lenses. He asked me which special I was referring to. I said the one for 150.00. He said yes. I said, "Great! I'll be in tomorrow.". After giving him my new prescription, I noticed a sign behind him with pricing. Progressive Lenses 99.00 with the 150.00 painted over. I didn't question this, and yes, I should have. It was obvious the lenses that were fitted into my frames were not correct. I had him do two sets of glasses at a cost of 300.00. He changed the lenses on both and they are still not correct. After doing research, everything I've come across described the issues I'm having. It is due to a low quality of lens being used. The quality is such that I don't even feel that I can wear them. I can't see labels on products in stores and have issues when driving. I'm having to move my head side to side to gain focus. He has offered to replace them a third time and I would rather have a refund as I am traveling and want to have this taken care elsewhere. The second pair of glasses has remained in their case. I noticed him rubbing on one of the lenses when I picked them up. Upon inspection, they have a scratch on them! I have not even worn them! He also had issues with my prescription as it was from an ophthalmologist who uses SightMD as their appointment service. This ophthalmologist is a highly regarded Dr. on Park Ave. I chose this Dr. because he accepted my insurance. I was actually seen by three doctors while I was there. A wonderfully thorough examination. My prescription is not even a year old. Robert asked why I wear my glasses so high. A very odd question as they are properly placed on the bridge of my nose and centered between my eyes. I just want this experience to be over! He's now asking me why it has taken me two months to decide that my prescription is wrong? Uhmmmmm, he's replaced them twice in that two months and they STILL ARE NOT CORRECT! He's also wanting me to buy new frames from him and not use my current ones. No! Eight years ago, he supplied the original lenses and there was no problem. That is certainly not the case now. He refuses to give me a refund and doesn't seem to care that I'm providing the public with this review. He has informed me that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS. He wants to replace them one more time. No! I'm done! I feel like I've been lied to and cheated. His business practices are extremely unethical. I'm going to also file a complaint with The Better Business Bureau as well as The New York State Optometric Association and The American Optometric Association. Needless to say, I have far better things to be doing with my time, however, I really don't want others to go through this experience. Had a great experience here picking out the perfect pair of glasses and seeing a meticulous optometrist. The glasses I chose were covered under insurance and yet they were gorgeous. Robert made sure to get them to me within two days and did a great job! Will definitely go back.

I thought this store was closed during the scamdemic, so I went to Cohen on Steinway st, what a disaster, the girls are rude there, and wouldn't accept a $150 deposit for a pair of glasses that cost $400, So I said I'll come back, then walked by this store and saw he just changed hours. Got here and accepted my $150 deposit, got the glasses relatively quick, and the transaction was a success. And now I'm purchasing prescription sunglasses. Very nice person. Can't imagine going anywhere to get glasses. Thank you

Screw on my frames came off and other store said it would be $20 and take 30 min to fix so I came here. Nice dude fixed my glasses in 2 minutes and asked for nothing in return, even refused my tip

HUGE Selection, all the top high end brands and styles. Service is top notch, walk-in exams and a quick turnaround on my prescription. Can't complain, I no longer have to visit the big chains for my sunglasses/glasses/eye needs.

Everytime I come here I feel at home. The selection is great and the service is impeccable. Glasses and contacts are prepared very quickly and the prices are very fair. Customer service is amazing! Highly recommended!

Robert is such a helpful gentleman. He helped me through my vision service eligibility plan by speaking with costumer service for me and took his time out. Must go if you are prescribed from doctor for pair of glass.
