The single star is for the fact that a lot of the staff at this location are genuinely caring and very nice BUT this location and infact all Quick Checks have many negative issues that absolutely should not be ignored. I basically give up!!!! Been a loyal customer at this location for over 30 years. At one point their sandwiches were awesome and delicious albeit a bit small. Now they are pathetic and very very expensive for what you are getting. I paid $6.99 for basically nothing. They CAN NOT make a custom made sandwich of ANY kind at ANY time of the day. It no longer matters who is making it as the same thing happens nomatter who is on duty as the manager. This has been an issue for many months and now l have reached the end of this bull krap. Recently, l was there in the morning for the 2/5.00 breakfast sandwich deal. I requested English muffins as the bread and not croissants. They left off the pepper jack cheese and split ONE small egg between two sandwiches!!! Overnight today l bought a custom made steak sandwich that should have had Swiss cheese, organo and deli mustard. It was missing all three. A similar thing happened a few weeks ago at the downtown location where half the things l requested were missing. Since you have to pay before you see the sandwich you have no idea what was left off. If the ingredients are not available when you order they should NOT have options for them on the menu board computer.They used to have hand written signs stating what was not available. If the person making it sees the items are unavailable then we should be told BEFORE we pay for the food and given the opportunity to order something else or eat elsewhere! Time and time again all four Bayonne Quick Check locations have done this to me. This is a small example of fraud. Quick Check is NOT a local business anymore. It's owned by a corporation out-of-state and you can really see how they are cutting back. At this price point l may as well go to a local mom and pop deli and get real food the way l want it not an itty-bitty sandwich that is NOT made the way l want it. I highly doubt that things will go back to the way they used to be. Quick Check carries certain things I need and can't find elsewhere so yes I will be coming back but ONLY for those items and nothing else.The pandemic can be blamed for only so much at this point and inflation does not explain deception.

Disgusting establishment Marquita Bush the deli manager spits in sandwiches and smokes black and milds inside the deli. Management and Corporate has been made aware of this but has done nothing.

I am a regular at customer at quick check at 53rd street and today Monday July 4 Monday at 9am I ordered my reg, fries extra crispy and the young lady's normally make it but today the young lady that was working behind the counter told the other one she wants it crispy the girl responded by say they come out the way they come out I was soo offended at her response that I left the fries and want to speak to manager about her behavior if people can not work with the public they should not be allowed to work .do not give customers attitudes because without us they would not have a position in the first place .please correct this matter.

Mediocre selection of potato chips. They have 4 soup heaters and only 2 soups are ever on. They never have chicken salad when I go.

Horrible service with the overnight staff. Disrespect and a lack of professionalism at this store. Only with the overnight staff the morning and afternoon staff has always been a pleasure. After 10pm you do not want to walk in that Quick Check. The sandwiches are made sloppy and the food handlers do not wash their hands and are very disrespectful to customers. I refuse to ever give this Quick chek another dollar after 30 years of money to be disrespected by a worker for no reason at all.

Anytime I have been there the staff has always been great. Had the sandwiches there before the closer QC opened and they were okay. Good assortment of flavored coffee and flavored milks.

Guys suck! They can't make a simple sandwich if it helped there freaking life! It's like I press on a screen to pick my options, then you as a useless robot make my order! But you can't cuz you suck! I can't wait to you fast food losers get over taken by actual robots!

Ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich with mayonnaise, I got home I opened my sandwich it was just the meat onions no cheese no mayo! How do you make a Philly cheese steak with no cheese! Will be going to speak to the manager later today to get my money back

I had to write to QC corporate today about the horrible management at their store at this location. I remember when this store opened in the 1980's this is the worst it's ever been the other night I went there and this employee female red hair was checking my items out while on her phoneBluetooth , earplug , etc. makes a mistake and gets an attitude with me , very rude very nasty , THE ODOR OF ALCOHOL was emanating from her mouth . This has been going on for awhile at least a few weeks and ALL THE OTHER EMPLOYEES ...AND I MEAN ALL DAY AND NIGHT say they have told the mgr. and she refuses to do anything about it. Then when I go in there with my wife to get a sandwich this incompetent is BEHIND THE DELI COUNTER smelling like booze once again , interjecting her opinion in a personal conversation my wife and I were having...who in the hell puts an inebreiated person in charge of using SLICERS AND KNIVES ?

Besides the old employee who is negative Nancy about everything, and the fries are horrible, all else here is decent. They seem to change employees a lot though.
