This doctor demonstrated a genuine interest in my well-being and consistently posed relevant and thoughtful questions during our appointment. Her comforting bedside manner provided me with a sense of reassurance, even when discussing a potentially challenging prognosis. Notably, she went above and beyond by proactively reaching out to me through the Patient Portal numerous times and making two personal phone calls to me to make sure i understood what was happening. Furthermore, she took the initiative to collaborate with another physician, investing her own time to ensure comprehensive care. Overall, I am deeply appreciative of her dedication and exceptional patient-centered approach.
Idk if this doctor is paying people to give her good reviews but she’s horrible and I believe possible prejudice. My poor sister had been suffering for an extensive time period and this woman rescheduled last minute 3 times !!! So she’s supposed to be in pain for 2 months?! That’s caring for your patients?! And all the receptionist can say is she takes on too many Patients! That’s unprofessional! And by some of these reviews at least we are not delusional with the fact she doesn’t take proper care!! Her original medicine made her sick! We went there to feel better. Absolutely ludicrous for health professionals responsible for people’s care to be this way. Please do better or get another day job.
Very disappointed with Dr. Rackoff. While she may have great intentions for providing great care, she takes one too much work and it affects the quality of care she provides. I've been her patient for about four years and I still feel like she does not know me. Every time I have a visit it's literally five minutes long which is frustrating when the E 38th street office is so far away from where I live. Because of some negative effects of a medication I was taking, I had to immediately get off of it without a weaning process. I voiced my concerns to her through the portal expressing that I was in tremendous pain and I have been constantly rescheduled and tossed around with barely any follow up. Even though my arthritis can have a large impact on my wellness, I don't feel prioritized as a patient and she actually reduced my motivation to make rheumatology appointments. It's been a month since Ive been off medication and trying to get in touch with her, and I have not gotten much response. Hate to write a bad review but as we speak I am in the waiting room for my second virtual appointment for more than 30 minutes without any communication.
Worst doctor I have ever encountered. I have experienced the same issues as all the other negative reviews stated. Dr. Rackoff diagnosed me with RA and all she does is throw prescriptions at me. She is dismissive to anything I tell her about my symptoms and rushes me out of the office. She refuses to believe me about the pain I’m experiencing and states that the medication I’m on is strong enough that I shouldn’t be experiencing flair ups. Then when I asked for her to fill out documentation to protect me from losing my job, she first agreed but then filled them out incorrectly. When I asked her to refill them out, it took months for her to get back and then refused. She made me book another appointment just to refuse and argue with me. She then told me that “I’m barely disabled” and “she has patients with worse conditions that don’t ask to fill out paperwork” and then dismissed me by saying she has patients with “more serious problems” to get to. Now that I’m trying to find new providers, I keep getting appointments canceled stating that it’s a conflict of interest. But let’s be real the reason they are getting cancelled is because a pathetic doctor had her ego hurt and is unwilling to let her patients find proper care. That tells you a lot about how much she cares about her patients. Oh and those other NYU doctors that used “conflict of interest” as their reason to cancel are terrible too and don’t care about patients well being. Dr. Zagon and Dr. E Lee
I have been seeing Dr. Rackoff for six years and find her to be very thorough and kind. She always gets back to me, and answers my questions. She accurately diagnosed me after my first visit and has been treating me and really helping me manage my autoimmune condition.
It looks like either one likes her or they don't...no middle ground on these reviews. I have visited her off and on for at least a decade. I like her. She is my go to when things aren't right. Her referrals through the years have been spot on. Yes, be prepared to wait. She really cares about her patients. Make sure to read your reports after your office visit and use MyChart to write notes or call the office if you have questions. You can ask for a print out of your visit as well. ALSO, yes, she tends to hurry so have your notes ready and speak up. Again, if you do have questions afterward, ask. She is kind and compassionate but is also focused. For those who were offended by her vaccination comments...I am fairly certain there's good reason
Dr Rackoff is an excellent rheumatologist. I've seen her for many years. She is a top doctor-- knowledgeable, thorough, caring and has a warm bedside manner. I am grateful for Dr. Rackoff.
Been in the waiting room for over 2 hours now after they cancelled my appointment 2 months ago at the very last minute without even knowing what my condition is and if it required urgent care. Took 1.5 hours just to get an update from the nurse who couldn’t be happier to let us know that the next patient would need to wait at least another 40 minutes and refusing to let us know which the “next patient” was There’s 5 of us here, all praying we are next. I’m done praying. Leaving and never coming back to this disgrace of an institution. Edit: I just finished looking at all dr rackoff’s reviews. Quite evident the woman is not only an elitist but very likely racist as well all her positive reviews are from white people and all her negative reviews are from minorities. Wish I saw these reviews before I came here and had 3 hours of my life wasted.
My experience with Dr. Rackoff is - She makes you feel she is more superior than those around. She made me feel as if I said something she didn’t like she was going to tell me yo leave or something ? her personality is really not welcoming and I don’t think her knowledge is so great either she had me do a blood test and I use a lot of supplements, so my numbers were not normal and she didn’t ask me to do another one. I made her do another blood test without the supplements and all my levels was normal!!! she really doesn’t care or has little knowledge- she’s not a people person either so why does she still have her job as a doctor ?
I don't have any complaints with Dr. Rackoff. I have found her to be very thorough & professional. Furthermore, she knows I have an issue so instead of sending me on my merry way, she had me see a host of doctors to get an accurate prognosis.
