Got a Silk Press done by a Stylist named Savina! Loved how shiny my hair was and I have very thick, curly coarse hair. NOT EASY TO STRAIGHTEN! The salon is super cute and I didn't have to park somewhere obnoxious like some places close to downtown. Def a place to go if you want to treat yourself to one of their many services.

Rain by Melodi is hands down the best salon around. From the smiles and greeting as soon as I enter the door to the relaxed, yet upbeat ambience of the salon. I have had the pleasure of the owner, Melodi, as my stylist for many years. She always takes the time to listen to my thoughts about my hair and offers suggestions to accommodate my vision while ensuring my hair remains healthy!! Trust me when I say I have lots of visions with my hair and she is SO patient with me. I always leave feeling refreshed, happy and more confident. ALWAYS!!! It is obvious the "Rain" staff respects and admires her knowledge as she is always available to assist them to ensure a positive experience, not only for her clients but everyone that steps foot in her salon. Melodi has created a salon environment that goes beyond just hair!! It's the laughter, it's learning about why gray hair is such a pain, it's a glass of water or sip of wine but mainly it's the whole experience that will keep "Rain by Melodi" thriving for many, many, many years!!! Thank you Melodi for your expertise, your kindness, your genuine beauty inside and out and for being my forever stylist!!! Wish I could make this a 100 star review... 5 is not nearly enough!!

Melodi is hands-down the best stylist and colorist I've ever encountered, and with curly hair, you can bet I've had more than my fair share of bad cuts!! Melodi is truly gifted at what she does. She has such passion for her work, and just watching her in action you can tell how much she loves doing hair!! She knows just how to shape curly hair, and I no longer have a fear of haircuts. My curls look exactly how I want them to for the first time ever in my life!! And my color is so natural and vibrant -- I get compliments on my hair almost daily since starting to see Melodi at Rain Salon. I will never go anywhere else, and I am beginning to have an irrational fear of what I will do if/when she ever retires or moves out of town! She's THAT GOOD!!!!!

I have tried many stylists in the 14 years that I have lived here after moving from Atlanta, and NONE have been up-to-par until I went here. Just WOW in every single way! Melodi and her stylists stay up-to-date on their continuing education....and it definitely shows. I was repeatedly told my hair looked the BEST that it ever has...because it absolutely does. And what a relaxing, amazing atmosphere has she created..just perfect! I have recommended many friends and all are now new clients - the proof is in the pudding. I work hard for my money and this was worth every penny. Ignore the 1-star reviews - Let them be bitter bitties for God only knows what for...you go see Melodi and her girls and you will NOT be disappointed.

Had a deva cut with Savina today. BEST hair experience I've ever had. She is kind, she listens, and she's conscious of your needs. She took the time to explain my hair needs and what products I should be using for my texture. Amazing experience! This is the first time in my adult life I have made a follow up appointment on the spot with a stylist. This sweet woman has my loyalty!

My encounter with Savina was excellent! I usually dread salon visits due to a few bad experiences but she was such a delight. I didnt have to wait; she was ready for me at my scheduled time. Great communicator. During the consultation she listened, she asked questions, and she explained the process. She performed a color correction on me that turned out great. Will definitely go back and recommend her to any who desire a great colorist. Overall Savina is very professional, knowledgable, has great skill level and talent.

SABRINA is AMAZING! She gives you the perfect cut that fits you. I have super curly hair and I have been going to her for my DevaCut , shape and also for color for about a year now. I would recommend her if you’re scared of damaging your curls. After I started visiting her my curl pattern tightened up , my curls are now more manageable and most importantly look really healthy. She knows everything about curly hair and will tell you what you need to do to make your curls pop. When it comes to the salon , I love it! Everyone is friendly and greets you when you enter.

I was waiting to get my hair done since a very long time. Thanks to Alexandra, I love my hair and she knew exactly what I was looking for. She listened to what I had to say and made recommendations. She still left the decision to me but explained everything in detail. She also told me what she was doing as she did it and explained how to style it. I am so happy. Not only did she give me an awesome haircut but styled them in CURLS !!! I totally love it. You barely can tell the length was cut off and my layers are cleaned up and it is back to a style. I'm so thrilled that I didn't have to pay a master stylist price for a master stylist haircut. Koodos for Alexandra!

It's pretty rare and well deserved when I write a 5 star review but it was definitely earned by the amazing staff at Rain by Melodi! I have been coming here for years to see Pooja Miss Brow for eyebrow threading! She is the BEST in Charlotte by far! I struggle with the pain of threading but love the results. She is always so understanding and takes her time with me as I cry every single time. She has even given me a numbing gel. Her online scheduling makes life so easy to coordinate a convenient time. After seeing Pooja for so long and coming to the salon I thought it would make sense to try out the salon. I will warn you that I am very particular about my hair and have anxiety every time I try a new stylist. I looked on Yelp at the reviews and sent a request in asking which stylist is best with thick hair. I got a very quick response from the owner and quickly booked an appointment which coordinated with my brow appointment... HELLO CONNIVENCE! Madeline was my stylist and I could not rant enough about how great of a job she did! I am blown away and I'll for sure be coming back to see her. She was very knowledgeable in the consult portion and it put me at ease quickly. She took so much extra time with me when she realized I had some build up from some product she re-shampooed me. I have a pretty severe allergy and she also checked all the products she used to make sure they were safe for me. I LOVE my cut and my hair feels so healthy. She gave me samples of some products to try and even got my email to send me some suggestions. She went way above and beyond!!! The rest of the staff was very helpful and kind as well! The salon is located in Southend, close to the rail uptown. Parking is easy, I've never had an issue and they have a parking deck if you can't find any in the front. I am looking forward to visiting the salon regularly and to make Rain my salon home for all my needs!
