Great Mexican food. We visited with our robotics team from Michigan, in town for the World Championship. I'm not sure how the area is, but this restaurant peaked the interest of our students who did a Google search for a buffet so we drove a little out of our way to give it a try. I want to say, it's great authentic Mexican food, but hey, we're from Michigan, we don't know what authentic Mexican food is. The buffet was well staffed, and the food was good. We were the only non Spanish speaking people in the place, but we're welcomed right in and treated very well. Stop in for a good meal.
OK so hopefully my review doesn't come off bias or doesn't sound complaining but. Actually most of the food is good, honestly. Maybe it's because I grew up in a Hispanic household. However even thought the place is clean, it's pretty disorganized. The Hispanic foods for the most part are good, the pizza and chicken was decent. Their deserts are hit or miss some cookies are hard as a brick but some are soft. The price is a little high but not too bad. I wasn't really a fan but I also didn't hate it. Restrooms did look kinda run down when I was there. Would I recommend this to anyone? Maybe if they wanted to eat a buffet and purely wanted Hispanic food.
This place has been running since 2009. I think its pretty outdated by now. A little pricey on the weekends where it's $16.99 per adult and $1.99 for toddlers! That was expensive! They tried to charge a "weekend drink" $2.75 which is anything other than water but the lady was nice enought to take it off. This place needs renovation as well ASAP!!!! Had fruit flies flying near the food and I'm pretty sure I ate one in my food. The restrooms are runned down BAD!! But the workers there are nice and will assist you with whatever you need. Will be coming here only when I'm in the area but I rarely am LOL good luck eating here ! 3/5
Because of the delectable food I give this buffet an overall 4 star review. The broths/caldos are the best! Favorites were the menudo, pozole, shrimp caldo, fruit and homemade salsas. The ground beef with potatoes mini gordita is very delicious with the perfect flavor in every bite. Atmosphere is good. Other location has more items for the kids and is cleaner/better organized. Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoyed the mac and cheese and their agua fresca. The kids were looking for the chocolate champurrado from the other location.
Food was good. Some dishes needed a little more salt for my taste but thats what salt shakers are for. They have a wide variety, so there is something for everyone. The shrimp ceviche was hands down the best plate they offered. Would definitely go back.Food: 4/5
Heard a lot of things on tv but we came for lunch today and the there was limited fresh food. Most of the food looked reheated and old, there was also a lot of flies at the tables and warming area. We ended up leaving after the first plate since no one ate anything from there plates.Food: 1/5
THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD BUFFET, I've ever had, ever. Everything is fresh, and there are so many varieties. The price is worth every single penny. I will visit this place again and again every time I'm in HOUSTON.Food: 5/5
First time there. My date had never been there either. Some food was old and hard but everything had great flavor. Was greatly surprised, as well as my date, on the huge variety of dishes. Desert though was on the bland side but we were stuffed well before desert. Only main complaint is buy better napkins. These were cheap and worthless.
Well, some of the food is bad. Tried a few. The only things I thought were good were the mole, chicken soup. The fried fish and cake were ok. Tortillas were cold. That is one thing that can't be sitting there because they get stale fast. That's why the under cook them so they can stay out longer.Food: 1/5
