Ravi Kebob is a hidden gem where the laid-back, no-frills ambiance complements the extraordinary food. As a patron for years, I'm continually drawn to their chicken karahi, a dish that perfectly encapsulates the rich, aromatic flavors of Pakistan. The tender chicken simmered in a robust sauce becomes a culinary delight, especially when paired with fresh, warm naan. Despite its unassuming setting, Ravi Kebab consistently delivers a memorable dining experience, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking genuine Pakistani flavors in Arlington.
While the portion size is generous for the price, there might be some missing variety in the menu choices. Overall, it’s decent, but it doesn’t quite qualify as a hidden gem. Additionally, the restaurant could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness.Food: 3/5
The karahi chicken had been our go-to for years. Highly recommend. The fam loves the chana and chicken biryani as well.
This place is always great to grab Pakistani food at. I try to go several times a month and the lamb shanks are well worth the visit. The daily specials are fast if you want a quick bite. The kebabs can take some time to cook but are also very good. Cash only is a drag sometimes and samosas are sometimes cold.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
Extremely rude staff. Very rude comments when we ordered food and when we had just arrived. Wanted to support Pakistani people but they treat customers as a hassle. If making 4 puris is a problem then perhaps you shouldn’t be in the restaurant business. They also screamed yo come here when our food was ready when they are supposed to be serving it to us. This is a dine-in resume at not a fast food drive thru. Extremely disappointed. They have no idea how to act in a restaurant setting, should stick to another business where they don’t have to speak to people.
I was excited to try this place based on the several positive reviews. I also saw they serve halwa puri and been nehari on the weekends so I wanted to give this a go. Unfortunately, the food and overall experience were disappointing. I waited about 15 minutes for my order of halwa puri to go even after calling in ahead of time. That’s ok, not a problem. But the quality of the food wasn’t very good. The aloo masala was bland. The Chana were decent. Can’t comment on the halwa because they forgot to pack it. I called and the guy insisted that he packed it. But he didn’t. After going back and forth several times, he apologized and said I could come back to pick it up. You can tell a lot about a place based on their reply to a missing item. I live a bit further out so I told him I wasn’t looking to come back - just wanted to let them know. Oh and that beef nehari? I made a decision not to try it as it didn’t look that appealing on their counter. Well, when the uncle that works there dropped his phone in the nehari - the decision kind of made itself. No thank you. I’m going to stay away from this place. I think I’ll stick with cha for their halwa puri.
Promise 16 orders be ready in 20 min, end up 1 hour. And keep ask for cash payment next time. Sorry, no more next time. Can’t deal with people can’t keep their word and not respect my time.
Do not get the beef kebab! It was undercooked and under seasoned, and could potentially get you sick. My Dad had it and suffered from stomach pain all night, please be careful! This was quite baffling given how delicious the chicken bone-in kebab was. The chana and the naan were good also, and their service was fine. The service could’ve been better if they comped the terrible beef kebab, especially after having heard from me that it was abhorrent. Not only did it get my Dad sick, it was so bad that my parents didn’t enjoy the chicken because the beef left such a bad taste in their mouth. Also the ambiance isn’t for everyone, it’s definitely got a “hole in the wall” feel. I’d recommend getting the chicken kebab with the chana and just eating at home. However, because my Dad got sick, I will be partial here and say that we will definitely avoid this place in the future.
Lazy people with worse customer service and extremely rude behavior. We wish we could give them 0 star. They don’t know how to serve customers. If you planing to go with family this is definitely not the place.
Delicious! I love their spinach, samosas, mango lassi. Even vegetarians can find a good meal here. Vegetarian options: While it's not what they focus on, there are always vegetarian options on hand here - chickpeas, daal, spinach, cauliflower not all at once necessarily. The samosas are veggie. Get the veggie platter for a sampling.
