Since meridian took over the clinic doctors and therapists aren't allowed to write medical exemption letters, work exemption letters, send information to social security for disability claims or even for transportation needs for the disabled, etc. They are implementing policies that coincide with what Trump wants. To hurt the poor, who are the ones in most need of doctors notes. When I told the nurse my concerns regarding these new policies she was patronizing and laughed at me. The owners just want to take your money. I've spent 4 years getting psychiatric help and psychotherapy from them and now my treatment was all for nothing. I have to switch clinics; doctor and therapist, in order to have all my needs met. This is cruel and absolutely negligent. The owners don't care about you. They are scum.

I’ve been hospitalized 5 times prior to going there and nowhere has been as bad as this place. They are very low on staff... well when they decide to show up, and when I was there one of the staff people threw up in a kids hygene bin. Very minimal therapy, no one on ones. They Sedate kids like it’s nothing just so they don’t have to deal with them. Very rude staff. Felt more like a juvi than a hospital. They fail to inform your parents on anything and when it comes to discharge they just kinda shove you out the door, no discharge meeting or anything... needless to say when I got home I was still suicidal.

Avoid this place at all costs. It's meridian. 3500 per person a night, what some fancy cheese sticks n saltine crackers we eat. And that padded bed tho, as well as zero couches in the unit, but the others n the lobby you walk pass to get on the unit haha, some nazis man. This place isn't to help, it's a big business and if i may add, corrupted. For 3500 a night you'd figure you would be able to do one on ones and many structural groups throughout the day, but no, a lot of ditzy fresh college people work there with zero knowledge on what they're doing half the time. Same with the Oakridge treatment facility in Rochester. My advice, avoid all merdian based facilities at all cost. Worst 8 days of my life, when they were only legally able to keep me for 3.. would not let me take a shower for the first 4 days and the bathroom i used was not cleaned once from the 8 days there, just empting the trash everyday is what they did.

I was there for five days for Suicide Ideation, and have a new definition of hell on earth. Sent their because there was an overflow at Altru, which I admit I was fine with. Spent about three minutes a day talking to the doctor about medications, and never had any one-on-ones. The only offer was group therapy, and the only subject that we covered was self-esteem. If a simple conversation about self-esteem could have fixed my depression, I wouldn't have been there in the first place. I never talked to a social worker, and when I was trying to clarify the Check Out Process, one of the day nurses told me that she couldn't predict the future. The night staff wasn't bad, and quite a few of the nurses were aware that this wasn't a productive facility, but that didn't make the stay any better. We were allowed into the gym once, but all they had was a trashcan full half-inflated balls. There was the possibility of an outbreak of skin disease on the Friday while I was there, but no one bothered to contact the CDC until Monday when a doctor ordered it. It wasn't helpful in anyway, and on top of all that they lost one of my favorite t-shirts.

I was personally a patient there. They take you and discharge you without any consideration of follow up care. The Dr. wouldn't even give me a referral. I am asking for help and care and he wouldn't take the time to make a phone call for me. Group therapy is all they offer; no one on one. They treat you like a child and give you puzzles and crayons in your down time. Really? Thanks for all the help...place is a joke.
