I used to run an older UA location over 10 years ago and they always have a place in my heart. Visiting the High Ridge in Albuquerque brought back a lot of fond memories and this location has done a great job of staying clean and cozy! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and this is definitely the kind of theatre you come to where you feel like family! Highly recommended!
First time coming to this theater, and I'm impressed! It is absolutely spotless and sparkling, well maintained, and has that feel of going to the movies in the 80s. The only thing missing is people! More people need to know about this place.
Great location to see a movie with plenty of parking and friendly staff. The theaters are a bit older and not stadium seating but plenty comfortable and enjoyable.
This place is never crowded. It's like having a theater all to yourself. The people at the counter are really nice.
I just heard the theater was closing permanently, so sad. I've gone there for years and enjoyed going to an older theater without all the bells and whistles. You will be missed.
Just heard on the news this morning that this theater is closing. That's a shame. I live up in Embudo Canyon and never realized this theater even existed! Strange since I've lived here on and off for over 50 years.
The popcorn was burned... asked for new one.. that was burned... the seats are all still "old school" style seats were closing up on my kids...not enough weight I guess. Will not be going there anytime soon.
Clean. Not crowded. Seats don't recline, but they're comfortable; just not ideal for short people. Friendly staff. Safe parking lot. Unfortunately, our theater was really warm which affected our viewing pleasure.
Viewed "the menu" great movie. I like HighRidge because it's very low-key, quaint and always clean
My favorite movie theatre in Albuquerque, full stop. It's not the newest theatre BUT it is one of two The Guild being the other that plays more offbeat films as well as foreign ones. All the attendants are very nice young people and I never have to go up front to ask that the volume be brought down to tolerable levels looking at you, AMC South Valley. Concessions prices are reasonable-ish and best of all there are very few young people around, which means this theatre is probably doomed in the medium to long term - alrhough I sure hope not. Stay with us, High Ridge Movie Theatre! Updated to add: well, that's it. As of January 5th, 2023 TWO days, thank for the heads-up /s, Highridge will be closed for good. I will miss you, favorite theater of mine. Thanks for the memories.
