Wanted a Caribbean vibe ! Decided to check out. The atmosphere gives party vibes. The service was good and the food was decent. Our order consisted of Curry Goat w White Rice and Rum Cake. Due to the time we went they ran out of Rice and Peas. I would definitely order something different but will try again. The slice of rum cake was a good size i didn’t try it but I heard it was good. The restroom was clean!!
There was a time when my neck of woods offered little to nothing more than liquor & phone card stores. Glad times are changing. Di soup is only served on Saturdays. Bless up mi yaad and welcome Reggae Kitchen
This was our first time at Reggae’s Kitchen. The server barely said 5 words to me and only spoke because I asked her what was in the warmer. She didn't tell me the total of our lunch but was quick to make sure the tip screen was displayed. Also, didn’t say thanks or anything that would expect when ordering from a restaurant. The oxtails had more fat than meat on them. The food was flavored nicely and the cabbage wasn’t hard like I saw in a previous review. We definitely won’t be back. There are too many other Jamaican spots in KC to return to be treated rudely.
Fantastic food customer service was great.. I see why the stars was that high.. and fast … price very reasonable
Excellent food & top notch service every time. When available..! The freshly BBQed jerk chicken is outa this world yum yum chop… it’s finger lickin good. Y’all.! Gotta git choo some of that chicken sometimes ..! Owner/chef got some mad cooking skillz & is the nicest guy in the business …! : Best Jamaican cuisine in the Midwest ..! Ya mon.. fo realz .. betta recognize..!
Recently moved nearby and decided to check out this place for lunch, tried the chicken curry and rice and it tastes great. Service was quick. The inside is a bit bare bones but as long as the food is good I can't complain about that!
Young lady was not inviting really. Food is losing its touch. Doesn’t seem like it’s authentic anymore. Just cooked with no love. It’s been missing the last couple of times and the flavor of the curry very bland.Food: 1/5
EXCELLENT authentic Jamaican food. Beef patties, jerk chicken, ox tail, curry goat/chicken, peas and rice. Limited dining in. Good pricing. Was definitely worth the hour drive to get there.
Authentic Jamaican food. Good service and pricing. Taste like mom made and wide variety. Photo of curry chicken with rice, slaw and ox tail with rice, slaw. We will be back.
I went there for the first time today and will never go back. I must say the customer service was great but if that was on the menu i would have paid for it. But I ordered the oxtails with rice and cabbage . The cabbage was hard with no season, the oxtails were tough and I could not find the meat in them it was all fat. I wish they had neck bones they may have been better and more meat. So no I will not be back and I drove on my lunch break to the place because it did look good on the website, and I saw the 5 star rating but had no idea the it would not be worth anything but the free pleasant customer service.
