The suites here are nice, well appointed, and clean. The hotel lobby and breakfast area are also clean and nicely kept up with. The parking is perfect, right behind the hotel in a gated garage. Victoria at the front desk was extremely nice and incredibly helpful. We requested additional amenities that we had forgotten a couple of times, and someone very quickly brought them up to us. Everyone was so nice, and breakfast was great! We would definitely stay here again!
Front desk staff was nice for the most part. Hair was found in the shower , along with dirty headboard, salt on kitchen counter, and microwave wasn't cleaned thoroughly. I reported it to the front desk and was asked if I wanted housekeeping to come clean again. I declined due to the time not being convenient. I inspected the room, took pics, and cleaned and sanitized the room myself. Due to it being the weekend and traveling by myself, I didn't mention the issues again to management until the day of checkout . The manager apologized and said it/cleanliness had never been an issue previously which isn't true since there is another review that mentioned cleanliness. Decent hotel; however for the price and cleanliness issue, there are also other comparable hotels in the area.
We stayed 3 weeks to be close to MD Anderson. The staff here is the best thing! From check in to check out, very professional and accommodating in every way. Nice laundry area. The staff gets to know the guests because a lot are long term due to proximity to Houston Medical Center. Parking garage behind hotel. Our little dog liked it here. We had a corner one bedroom suite with separate living/kitchen area. Perfect for amount of time we were there. Gave us enough room to spread out. The dog area is next to the parking garage — a little secluded area in back. Breakfast buffet every morning. Bacon on Thursday’s! Good coffee, comfortable dining area. Quiet every night, except our last night with some teenagers making a lot of noise. Hotel staff addressed it quickly. Will stay here again in August. It truly was a good hotel experience. Rooms: Nice corner one bedroom suite with separate living/kitchen area. About 800 sq. ft. Large modern bathroom with counter space. Good shower. Large closet, plenty of storage for extended stay. Nearby activities: NRG is walkable from this hotel. Very convenient for restaurants. Safety: Be attentive at all times. The hotel is near NRG and about 3 miles for Houston Medical Center. A homeless person did wander into breakfast buffet area, but hotel staff quickly took care of person and escorted them out. Walkability: Not very walkable due to safety. During day would probably be ok, but would not walk at night. Kirby Dr. is a very busy street in Houston. Sidewalk in places need repair. Hotel sits at corner of Kirby & Main St.
The overall experience was 'ok'. The rooms were clean and staff was pleasant. The only issue is how warm/hot the hall was. Rooms are comfy and when you walk into the hall it was 20+ degrees warmer.Rooms: 4/5
Very nice newly refurbished rooms. Spacious rooms, we are a family of 5 and had plenty of space for us. The only downsides are that the pool is freezing cold even though it’s an interior pool and the cleaning of the rooms if only every third day. Why are they trying to be AirB&B, if I stay at a hotel and are paying full price for every night then I’m expecting my room to be cleaned every day or otherwise make us a discount since you aren’t cleaning the room the other nights. If this keeps happening then theres little difference for choosing an apartment or full house for the same price.
Absolutely nothing to complain about. Great location, walking distance from NRG Stadium. Clean rooms, friendly staff, no noise, decent breakfast. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.Rooms: 5/5
Overall had a great experience here. Super close to the stadiums, you could walk there. I didn't try all amenities, but we did take advantage of the included breakfast. It's your normal simple breakfast options - eggs, sausage, bread, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, waffles, morning beverages. I do wish, however, late checkout option was later than 12:30, even if it was for an additional fee.
The staff here are exceptional. Shantel and other ladies at the front desk were compassionate and helpful as my family underwent medical procedures. I couldn't be more grateful for their kindness and assistance.Service: 5/5
This Residence Inn actually cares about customer service !!! The checkin desk is super helpful, and truly attempts to make your stay comfortable. Shantele manager maybe? is very friendly, professional, and goes out of her way to help guests. One morning she left the desk to get breakfast for two different guests who missed the continental b'fast hours. Quality customer service is disappearing from our society, but Shantele and this Residence Inn understands the importance. The lobby, the rooms, and garage were all clean. I would recommend staying here. The drive to all hospitals MD Anderson was not too far.
This is where I've been staying whenever I have work in Houston. Love how accommodating the rooms are to business travelers. Lots of outlets and a big ole desk where you can spread out and get your work done. Hotel is situated not too far from all the hospitals short drive, not walking distance. Feels like a relatively safe area. There's a Kroger and a couple of restaurants that you can walk to from here, but I normally drive to The Pit Room for some authentic, Texas brisket whenever I'm in town. Rooms: Shower has the mounted soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers. Full kitchen is nice. Refrigerator has built in ice maker; just make sure you turn it on upon arrival.
