This place is absolutely amazing, no membership is required as per city ordinances. I went in for a freezer filling day. 68 lbs of 93% lean ground beef, 40 lbs of chicken thighs, 16 lbs of strip loin, about 40 lbs of pork loin, and a 20 lb bag of rice for only $480 is the biggest win I've had in a long time. A 40 minute drive to get there was well worth it in the end. If you want to do something like I did be sure you have the freezer space for it and a vacuum sealer. Butcher paper works too but I prefer vacuum sealing. I've seen lots of comments on rude employees here but from my Saturday experience I seen quite the opposite. Ya they're busy so you might not get their attention but surely not rude. Very friendly when you ask questions. I will be back when it comes time to stock up some more, I cut my own NY Strips from the strip loin and got 14 about 1" thick steaks after trimming for $5.55/lb, that's a $18/lb steak in stores. if you need to learn how to do this you can find videos on YouTube
Not friendly customer service at all especially with the guy in fresh meat department. I just check the chicken wings box to see the inside. I didn’t even touch the chicken, just take the top off and see. Every boxes the top should be able to open. I checked 3 boxes but taking two n he told me that I go through every boxes and try to get me out. When I Check out at the cashier, she even take the chicken wings off to check the bottom of the boxes. It such a really bad customer service and unprofessional. I have never see before. He really really rude.
I’ve never stepped foot in a restaurant depot before today. I decided to try it out by shopping for a customer on instacart. Seeing as I’ve never been in the store I needed help finding 2/6 items I needed. I noticed a few employees sitting by a desk near the entrance, so I decided to ask them for help. They were quite rude and unhelpful. It felt like such an unwelcoming atmosphere. Normally you’re able to ask employees at stores for helping finding things seeing as that’s sort of part of their job. The worst part is I ended up spending a ridiculous amount of time searching for two items in this store. Customer service jobs aren’t meant for everyone.
Very rude cashiers. Products never match the price tag hanging and when you call them out on it they always say it’s in wrong spot. Then you say where’s the tag for the correct price and they can’t answer or show cause they are wrong. Never trust the tag and always ask for a price check from manager if they are available
Cheap and high quality And they have halal food
The delivery here is super bad. The first one I came to didn't stop at the loading dock, and the four cars that came after me all parked at the loading dock, and they put me on the last one no matter what time you came. , Is it because I am not good at English, or because I am an Asian?
Great place to shop they have a lot of stuff. Just don't ask the workers to help you find something. Haven't had much luck there. I was looking for PVC or Saran wrap. The 12-in slot was out. I asked a worker right next to me if they had any she said no. And then as she was stacking her slot I looked right next to her in front of her and they had Darnell brand PVC. Saran wrap. Same thing. With the slide cutter like I was looking for in a 12-in size. I asked her what the Darnell was isn't that Saran wrap? She said oh I guess so. She wasn't helpful but at least they had the product I was looking for. Check out was fast and smooth but you should be a member it doesn't cost anything and you sign up online. It would have saved me a couple bucks for my one purchase. But if you're going to go there more often it'll save you lots of money to sign up first. It's free and open to the public.
This is not a store for the casual shopper but if you are familiar with wholesale restaurant products, equipment and ok with no frills shopping then it is a great place to shop. Good produce when available. Fast forward 6 months later. I do understand market forces but I have a very difficult time understanding 1 package of romaine hearts priced at 25 dollars and a case of whole romaine lettuce at 96 dollars! I know Sam's club has exact brand of romaine hearts at 4.96 per package! At least the romaine hearts seems like price profiteering. Be very cautious about. What you buy often the shelf tags are grossly incorrect. Restaurant depot should have an app for members so they can get current prices quickly instead of trying to find the correct person to help you. My review is now a solid 3. My expectations have been significantly lowered. Update 12 21 22 - has been better stocked of lately. I still stand by previous statement about prices on the shelf.
While the space is very cramped and boxes are everywhere, the employees here are very friendly and always working hard to make sure everything is in order.
Awful as always. $65 for clamshells that costco business center has for 45$. I dread this place. Why did I go in? ..To look for a better deal on Clamshells... Not even close!
