The servers are kind of rude and make things awkward but the food is excellent. I ordered takeaway by the phone and when I came to pick it up they forgot to prepare my order lol,,, I didn't mind waiting tho. Just an FYI for people who may not know and are wanting to come here, this is NOT a Mexican restaurant, please do not expect them to have tacos. This is Salvadoran food, not Mexican. The three separate instances I've been here, I've seen people asking and complaining that there's no tacos ... South America is home to many different cuisine and culture, not all of our food is the same.
Fried banana was a theme. It looks like you get one with any of your morning meal at least. Cash only no plastic. No tacos....the service was quick. I ate in, the atmosphere is so so pretty quiet except for the music. Affordable food. Not your typical Mexican place but do not let that discourage you. I say try it you might like it.
Puro Amor This place will leave you full and satisfied! Hands down favorite pupuseria now. Va ser mi pupuseria favorita de hoy entonces. 10/10Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
SCAMMERS! BEWARE! Owner denied a $50 Dollar extra charge on my account! Wouldn't even let me see the transaction. I was double charged twice! They weren't welcoming as well! They don't treat Hispanic-Americans well either! Will never come back here!
The food was decent but the service was disappointing. It was our first time. We'd been to Guanaquito and really liked it, so we thought we'd check out another place to try something new. We chose to dine in. We tried three different pupusas: revueltas, spinach, and jalapeño. Reveultas was the best one. It had beans, cheese, and I believe with traces of beef. I'd recommend that one. The jalapeno and spinach were the least favorite. As for the service: We felt rushed to place an order since we were asked if we were ready to order as soon as we were given our menu, and two more times very shortly after that with very little time in between. Our waitress only came by after we were done eating and asked if all was good so we said yes and thought she'd bring the check, but she just stayed in the back. I got up to look for her after we realized she wasn't coming back and said we were ready to pay. I went back to the table assuming she's bring the check like she did for the other diner that was there, but she just shouted the total at us from behind the counter even though we were sitting down and I had my back to her she did not speak to my boyfriend ever--just me. We're not likely to come here again as there are other places with better service and better food, like Guanaquito.
Food was super good!! It was extremely homey
Cheap price and very delicious foods, HAVD to try there pupusas, they are YUMMY!!
So good!! Horchata tasted so authentic!! Pupusas are so amazing too!!
I love finding new mom & pop places and I LOVE finding places that are within walking distance. We are so happy right now. I happened across this place bringing my son home and we only eat out MAYBE 4 times a month, so it has to mean something if I stop and pay for food. This was a small order, 3 papusas, under $10. Light and airy dough, not so heavy and fatty as most Salvadoran places which I still love, but not in September. The corn in the dough is fresh and bright. They didn't try to mask stale corn with extra salt, these were seasoned well and the ingredients are fresh. The orange mystery sauce was crisp on top of the very filling papusas. Everyone in the kitchen seemed happy and cheerful and I need that if I'm ever to return. We love this place, it'll be a new staple.
Friendly staff that make you feel very welcomed and comfortable. Food is great especially the papusas. They are big and will fill you up. Not a good as my mom's but great compared to other places. Still deserves a 5star. Will be back.
