Rex Club

We frequent cigar lounges when we travel and at home and I have to say Rex NY Cigar club is the best experience we’ve ever had. It’s a true example of how a cigar lounge should be. We visited every night we were there during our visit to New York City to get a little work done. Great hospitality and the ambiance was wonderful. Will definitely be back, we highly recommend it.

Joanna, Sal and Jar Jar were fiercely kind and accommodating to my buddy and I. It was a wonderful experience to see how a cigar bar - under remarkable duress due to Covid restrictions in NYC - uses their creativity and kindness to excel. Keep up with the outstanding work!

Posh, sophisticated, but not pretentious and snobby. A generous selection of common and rare/limited edition cigars decorate their walk in humidor. Display cases house beautiful humidors, Smoking Pipes, Ashtrays, and other Cigar accessories. Although currently closed, the Downstairs lounge is cozy and spacious. The real treat, though, is the Rex, an exclusive Members Lounge. Accessible to non-members for a small fee, The Rex is the statement piece of this Lounge. Knowledgeable, Friendly, and Helpful staff will assist you in finding the perfect cigar for your tastes. BYOB friendly. Always a wonderful time to be had at this establishment.

I bought an annual membership for my husband and I must say... it is by far one of the best gifts I have given him! Now instead of taking clients to dinner, he does business at the lounge. He has said its more comfortable and relaxed.. he doesn't want to take clients anywhere else! He says the staff is attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure our experience is comfortable. I will surely be renewing his membership! Highly recommend !

A beautiful place to come and enoy a cigar. Whether I'm alone or with clients, I'm always treated great. I'm so glad that there are day passes. It gave me a chance to really know the place. Since then I have become a member. Also, the cigar store downstairs has a great selection. The staff is not only friendly, but extremely knowledgeable.

I’ve been going to Rex for over 30 years. I joined the private club as soon as it opened. Great place to relax and grab a bite and smoke a cigar. The staff is always on top of there game. Would highly recommend this club to any cigar smoker.

I stumbled upon this club through an acquaintance. Joined solely due to convenience and lounge was a nice respite from the work/Finance life. Went downhill shortly after joining. Service was spotty at best, clientele was iffy at times, and when these issues were brought to "management", they were downright ignored. To add icing on the cake, a guest of mine got sick due to flu at the lounge, the attending maître d' was too busy drinking and watching a football game to care. I have already joined another cigar club so DM me if you want recommendations on cigar clubs that actually deserve your money and offer superior service. There are plenty other better options in this city. Response to the management: Now you want to respond... Hilarious. I raised concerns regarding your self-entitled waitstaff and their lack of service on many occasions and the management didn't once bother to respond or follow up. Even when your waitstaff, who was far more concerned with getting tips without actually doing their jobs, started targeting my guests and I with unfounded allegations, due to the simple fact that he was too lazy to serve the members of the club properly and still felt he deserved gratuity. Not once did the management reach out to me to follow up and see what was going on when I raised these concerns. My guest had 1 drink elsewhere and had the flu. Which is why she got that sick. But NICE TRY though to distract away from the fact that your waitstaff was too busy watching a football game and drinking to care to help and/or to do their jobonce again. But please keep trying to justify negligence on your part. Again, not one phone call or email to clear up what actually happened after this incident. I wish your little club the best of luck as you clearly have zero clue on how to run a member's only club and care little for the lack of dedication to properly serve members that your sub-par staff exhibit every single day. As for the people reading this review, I mean it, please DM me for far better options for cigar clubs with superior service that actually deserve your money, here in NYC. I wasted some money on this place but in the end, it helped me make the right choice.

A great members only cigar club in NYC....space is beautiful with menu service and sweet, knowledgeable staff! Robert is the best! He made me feel right at home.
