It is my hope they will change their current policy, but if they don't I want to warn future tenants about their stringent and counterproductive early termination policy. I fully understand that many residential communities will charge a penalty or fee for breaking the lease agreement early, but this is the first time I had a leasing company tell me that they would not market the available unit on their website or actively within the community. Due to professional advancement opportunities, I have been asked to relocate to several major cities e.g., SF, LA, San Diego, London, etc. for work. If you think you could be recruited to join a new firm or may earn a promotion that requires you to relocate unexpectedly please make a point to review the fine print in their lease agreement. If you want to retain some flexibility, and they choose to keep their current policy in place, you may be better served to rent elsewhere.
They are pet friendly. That's becuase they charge you $450 per pet which they then pocket not a deposit. And they charge extra rent per month per pet. I'm fine with paying a damage deposit. But spending a grand is thievery.
My husband and I lived at the Rice Mill Lofts for a little bit over 2 years and it was absolutely awesome and unbelievable. The apartment complex is well managed and the staff are extremely friendly and courteous. There are so many events and programs that helps to create a wonderful community.
The design, style, and view of this building is great. Management's attention to detail to its tenants and furry friends could not be better. Overall, it is a great building offering some of the best views NOLA has to offer.
They will try to scam you out of your move- in deposit. I had to get my attorney to threaten suit in order to get 80% of it back. Beware!
