River Market Antiques

I normally have a good experience when I am at this store but, I will never shop here again because of the rude customer service I experienced. I walked up to the counter to pay for my purchase and the lady working at the counter was an older lady with white hair she never acknowledged me. She was looking down at the counter working on something and when the phone rang she picked it up while still not acknowledging me. She never smiled at me or even once did she say I will be with you in a moment. I walked out of the store. I immediately called and she answered. I asked to speak with a manager and she said their was not a manager there in the store. She said “are you the lady that walked out”. I automatically sensed her tone was not friendly and her tone was hostile and argumentative. I raised my voice and told her she needs to learn customer service skills. I will never shop their again and I will spend my money elsewhere where I feel the customer is appreciated. There are plenty of other antique shops in Kansas City. I will advise anyone that the customer service is usually friendly but on this particular day this employee was rude and has no concept of customer service. I hope the owner/manager reads my review because of your employee that day who wanted to argue with me and tell me their was not a manager on site that day you have definitely lost a customer.

Such a fun place to spend a few hours. The staff are always nice and I find tons of good bargains. They have such a wide variety of things from antique to vintage to mid century. Something for everyone for sure!

Could easily give an entire morning to this store. Very unassuming from the outside. 4 levels of well curated stalls. Something for everyone. Don't forget to look up!

Come prepared to spend hours in this place. There are three floors full of great antiques and vintage clothing. I start on the top floor and work my way down. There is always something new to see.

One of my favorite antique markets I've been to, 4 floors of items with a ton of variety. Stock changes pretty frequently as well, I always see new stuff each time I go. You could stay there for hours without being bored. Great location as well with tons of food and coffee surrounding it.
