Our first time playing here. We really enjoyed the changing elevations and the challenge they presented. Greens were in great shape and the pace flowed nicely. 7:00am tee time Driving range has mats with tees which was nice. The staff was excellent. Quick, pleasant check in. The guy who maintains the carts was awesome. We left things in the cart and he tracked us down to return it to us.
Great value course. Very interesting layout. Second visit was in January after some rain the river is finally filled with water. Makes it mor interesting to play. Tee shot over the water. And 160 yard approach to green over the water.. Only downside is that some of the fairway is washed up with sand and feels like giant bunker.. some holes just became half narrow of fairway it used to be. Still somewhat playable. Just be aware some sand is wet. Try not to retrieve your ball on the riverside sand. It can be still very wet and soft. You will sink as soon as you put your foot in there. Speaking from my experience. My shoes got wet and my score got so bad after that.
Request from owner The date played was 1/8/23 Should be 4 stars but today we had a 1:15 tee time and the course was a bit backed up with no issues so far we have a good amount of sun left. We pull away from the 14th green and see the marshall recklessly driving over the green and flying past us with no cares in the world pulling all the flags from the green!!! It's like 415 pm with at least 30 minutes of sun left? I have never experienced this before at any course so we had to play 15 16 17 18 with no flag
Interesting course, alone Santana River, shorter than regular 18 hole course but fun to play. Greens are great condition, surprisingly good playing path on weekend. Definitely a course worth to try in South California.
Interesting golf course in the middle of a residential neighborhood and built into the Santa Ana rivers path. They have pretty good practice facilities especially the very large putting green. I really enjoyed the 18 hole practice putting course, especially because it’s free and in good condition. Have not played the course and even though the place isn’t top notch, it looks like a fun time.
River View Golf Course in Santa Ana is a golfer's paradise! Scenic views, well-maintained greens, and a challenging layout. A must-play for golf enthusiasts!
I was really surprised the greens are in great shape.. great job!!! By the way don't drive the carts into the sand!!!
Golf ball from another golfer on the course hit my car in the parking lot and shattered the window. This is an ongoing problem at this golf course and they do not pay damages! Now I have to pay $600 for my window caused on their property by another golfer and they do not care that this is an issue with their course on hole#9. A ball went flying and almost hit me as well. This golf course needs to be shut down or gain insurance for damages. I am very angry and advise anyone coming here to think again unless you want to end up with car dents and broken windows
Beautiful course and the employees are extra nice. : It was my first time golfing and they helped me hit it 200 yards! Will definitely go again
Great course with several elevation changes. We named the sand that runs down the middle, The Principal’s Office because, depending on your lie, you might be in there for a while! Greens in super condition!!!
