Riverside Art Museum

About

The Riverside Art Museum integrates art into the lives of people in a way that engages, inspires, and builds community by providing high quality exhibits and art education programs that instill a lifelong love of the arts.

Story

The Riverside Art Museum strives to integrate art into the lives of people in a way that engages, inspires, and builds community by presenting thought-provoking exhibits and providing quality art classes that instill a lifelong love of the arts.

Located in the historic Mission Inn district of downtown Riverside, our architecturally significant 1929 building is a former YWCA facility designed by Hearst Castle architect Julia Morgan.

The building’s distinctive architecture as a work of art in its own right brought it to the attention of the Riverside Art Center in the 1960s. Purchased from the YWCA on July 5, 1967, Morgan’s building became the proud home of the Riverside Art Museum.

The building is now home to artists and art lovers as a place to quietly roam and experience the world of art. Discover a wealth of opportunities to learn and be inspired in our galleries where there’s something to pique everyone’s interests and to challenge their perceptions of what art is.

Join us for: art classes for the young and young at heart alike that teach art history and technique, free family activities, lectures, book readings and signings, film screenings, and a Museum Store filled with items you won’t find elsewhere.

DONORS MATTER

As a non-profit institution RAM relies on the generosity of donors like you to support a place where a love of the arts can be sparked and nurtured. Your thoughtful gift will provide children and adults the opportunity to see art and to learn through hands-on experiences.

YOUR support is critical to our mission.

Recently visited Riverside Art Museum. Amazing artworks and noteworthy pieces throughout the museum. I am so happy that I came and would definitely come back.
$5 entrance fee for adults but check for various discounts. The volunteer was very friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. Cozy small town museum. It does a nice job for the amount of space and price within the historical building.
I went here during the Arts Walk for a college assignment in my art class. The building inside is nice and clean. The people greet you and are friendly. The parking is just crazy and full. It took me 30 minutes to find parking because there was so many people and the closest parking spots were all occupied.
Attended a school district art show here. Nice historical building and easy to find with the large Art sculpture outside.
Always, LUV STOPPIN INN, 2 SEA THE RIVERSIDE ART,, "WELCOME 2 th ROUND ROOM"

I had a very pleasant time. Our tour guide was very friendly. Highly recommend place.
You must go see Anita Sylvestri's exhibit! I come here frequently and am never disappointed.
This may be a small art museum, but it's still very nice. It's rarely ever crowded, although I did visit around 3pm on a Tuesday. It has a nice rooftop area and students can get $3 admission with their IDs. I'd love to visit again in the future.
