About a year ago we were in Weston for a quiet weekend getaway. Our weekend didn't work out as planned, there was a very loud, crowded festival taking place that we hadn't been aware of. We drove out of town to get away from the mayhem and stumbled across Riverwood Winery. What a lucky find! We had a quiet, enjoyable afternoon with great wine, a guitarist that played a few Beatles songs :) and an excellent cheese platter - the aged cheddar was amazing. Also, when we asked what else was in the vicinity, we were directed to Atchison and had a great afternoon driving around the historic district. Wonderful winery with good food and drink and friendly people. Highly recommended.

First visit to this beautiful winery that sits in the bottom lands between St. Joseph, MO and Weston, MO. The staff is very knowledgeable. The building was an elementary school at one time, now has been turned into a most beautiful building inside. Their wines are very good. I would suggest this as a stopping place.

Enjoyed the wine tasting. Enjoyed the bottle of wine we had. I also enjoyed the flat bread Pizza.
