Following the NV Public Utilities actions to re-enact the Solar Industry in NV last summer, we began investigating installing Solar panels on our residence. Last Fall, subsequent to discussing options, recommendations and quotes from, three LV based Solar Installers, combined with references from friends and associates in our community, we decided to contract with Robco Electric to install our Solar system. From our first discussion with Kyle Jones, through the actual date of activation by NV Energy, we were completely satisfied. Kyle introduced us to the products sold by Robco, how they would meet our energy needs, how they worked, how they'd be installed, as well as answering my multitude of questions. He placed no pressure on us to buy his products and services, but instead allowed us the time to evaluate his alternative bids with those we received from other companies. Once we decided to have Robco do the work, Kyle kept us informed of the proceeds, including scheduled dates for installation, city inspections, NV Energy inspections, all of which were expedited flawlessly. We can't say enough about how much we appreciated the installation crew. Kyle Taylor, Tyson, Connie and Rodrigo were punctual, worked as a highly efficient team, were friendly, courteous, and did a fantastic job on the installation. Unlike some installers, who run the conduit pipes over the eaves and along the exterior walls of homes, this Robco crew ran all the wiring through conduit in the attic, making it virtually impossible to see any visually unpleasing signs that the solar is on the roof. Once installed, Jeremy and Kyle Jones assisted me in installing the monitoring software on my phone, iPad and computer, which provides us with instant access to how the system is performing. Our system was activated by NV Energy on Nov. 3rd, and has been producing at the levels we were anticipating. We recommend to anyone considering Solar to contact Kyle at Robco, as we trust you, too, will find Robco to be a terrific company to work with!

We were so excited to possibly work with Robco after seeing all the great reviews here on Yelp and on Google. We just purchased this home, are not in a rush to get panels, and have already received other quotes. Long story short, we are not going with this company due to poor customer service despite hearing great things about them from other customers and solar companies. The first lady we worked with failed to show up to the appointment anywhere near on time, and the second person we worked with apologized that she dropped the ball but proceeded to drop the ball once again. It should not be this difficult to receive a quote, and I don't even want to imagine how much more difficult it could be to deal with them if we went ahead with solar panels and ever had issues. So we requested a quote from Robco through Yelp, got a call from Krystal to schedule the appointment, and then set the appointment for the upcoming week at the only time that we had available on our busy schedules. We didn't receive an appointment confirmation. Appointment day came, we didn't get any calls to confirm our appointment, we showed up at the house 30 minutes before the appointment time in case they came early, and 15 minutes after the appointment was supposed to have begun, we got a call from her saying she was 40 minutes away and if that was okay. It wasn't and this was what we were hoping to avoid when we scheduled an appointment. So we had to cancel and she said she'd email us the quote instead which made us wonder why she didn't say she could do that before because that would have saved us all time. An hour or so later, we got an email from her that said the solar proposal is attached, but there was nothing attached to the email. Disappointing. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, and maybe her schedule was crazy although that is not our responsibility and she could have easily given us a call or text or email before 6 to let us know she would be late, I decided to try contacting them the next morning. I called, spoke with a man on the phone and let him know the situation and he let me know that there was no record of us in the system at all. STRANGE... so he asked for our information again, I gave it to him, and he said someone would call me or email me and get in touch with me. I am writing this review 2 days later and have received no correspondences whatsoever and we have decided to move forward with other companies. We shouldn't have to try this hard to get a quote from a company, and have not had to try so hard with any other company. It's unfortunate but due to this experience, we will not be doing business with them or recommending them - despite having heard great things from people and other solar companies about them.

Kyle from Robco was fantastic. I interviewed multiple solar companies and Robco was by far the best in many ways. Some companies turned out to be fly-by-night, and I turned one company into the NV general contractors board because they were signing solar contracts with a revoked license!! With Robco, pricing to PURCHASE the LG brand panels (not lease) was slightly less than other companies, and the installers did a great job because they have a background as electricians, not as hacks who only install solar panels. Do you know how the satellite TV company installers just drill holes through your house to install cable lines? When you hire a company like Robco with their main business being electricians, the panels and electric lines are installed professionally, not haphazard and amateurish. My conduit was run through the attic so the unsightly steel lines didn't snake across the roof, and anything that shows on the side of the house was painted to match the stucco. I'm a local real estate broker and I am meticulous about my house, and this is not a paid testimonial. I am happy to suggest companies who do me well, and eager to shame companies who drop the ball. Kyle was by far the best sales rep with whom I dealt; both knowledgeable and trustworthy, which is a rare and precious combination. As of spring 2018, I have already referred 2 clients to Robco, and I will refer many more. Very sincerely, Andy Stahl, local broker-owner of Raintree Real Estate.

We moved to Vegas in June, and decided pretty quickly that we wanted to go “solar” in the house we bought here. We began the process of researching companies and found that many that operate here were actually based outside of Nevada; some of them don’t even have contractor’s licenses in Nevada. We narrowed down our search and ended up getting bids from 2 other companies before deciding to go with Robco. The main reason we selected them was Kyle Jones, who came to our house and gave a lengthy, yet clear, explanation of the process, and what we could hope to gain, going to solar. The other companies we spoke with basically sent a sales person who had little to no technical expertise and were thus unable to answer many of the questions we had. Kyle was able to answer all questions, and in language we could understand. He and Colin kept us apprised of the progress and processes involved. After all of our permits, etc. had been secured, a great team (Carlos, Connie, Kyle, and Kekoa) came to our house and got everything installed in one day. They worked a long day, and were very efficient, and polite. They attended to every detail, including using the right color of paint on the exterior of our house to make the conduit seem to disappear. That was a very nice and appreciated touch. Then, last Friday, NV Energy was here, got our new meter installed, and we went “live.” It was very exciting for us! We are extremely happy with the high standard of equipment, labor, and customer service that the company provided. We recommend them, without hesitation!

My experience with Robco and especially with their representative Steven Carver was great. Their electrician, Jacy, when I thought that I have a problem, came to my house on his own time, this is unheard of! I think that's a company spirit. Always keep appointment, done everything on time! The system is working great, couldn't be happier! Thank you, I'll recommend your company to all my friends, for sure.
