I've been trying to get Robert Half's assistance for over a month. I apply to jobs daily, respond to any and all emails from recruiters, called, and even tried to come in personApparently most of the Philly office is working remotely, and nothing. I've literally had 3 recruiters email me three times in a row about the same position, emailed all of them within twenty minutes, and received no response. I left a voicemail for the office last week. A recruiter emailed me asking for an updated copy of my resume. I sent it to her and she never responded. Shortly after, I saw two positions listed on indeed that included her name and phone number in the job description. I called to follow up and to also express my interest in the new roles and she told me to not rely on third-party sites like indeed and to rely only on the company website for job positions. She also told me they don't have any openings. Mind you...the same positions on indeed were the same ones on the website, posted on the same day, all she had to do was look. I honestly don't understand what you gain from ghosting applicants..especially when you are the first to reach out, to begin with.. isn't that the whole point of your business? I pray you never find yourself in desperate need of employment like the lot of us. I'd gladly do your job, and even on my worst day, I would be tons more helpful than the recruiters employed here.
I promise you this company is not worth your time. Please do not trust these people they have low ratings for a reason! One experience is that their recruiters are not communicative at all. If you call you always get a oh someone is gone call you and interview you for a possible position second they never call you even if your resume matches the job description or if your more then qualified! They always have an excuse to why they dont call you or reach out to your references. One thing that bugs me is the disrespect and unprofessional of recruiters.
Such a joke they lie all the time you can call and be told someone will call you back and nobody ever does. If they offer you a assignment and you turn it down you will never hear from them again. It’s a big waste of your time with them.
This office is useless. I worked with a few other offices in the York/Harrisburg area and had the best experiences ever with them. The Philly office? Absolutely horrible. And they haven’t improved at all over the years because they sucked 3 years ago as well. You’ll never receive call backs or emails. Don’t waste your time
Robert half is a good company, although their Philly office just gives them a terrible name. I've been trying to get in touch with a recruiter for over 1 week. How are you a staffing agency, when your own staff don't even do their job? The experience has been frustrating and sad. Even when I got on thr phone with the recruiter or the front desk lady, either or, I don't know; she sounded as though she was being disturbed and not even answering my questions, referring me to the website to fill an application which I already did. Close the office or switch thr staff and stop leading people on with jobs in this pandemic.
Earlier this month, I was contacted by RH recruiters for two separate positions. After talking at length with each recruiter and carefully reviewing the job descriptions, we determined that I was well-qualified, and I submitted my credentials. I followed-up about ten days later with each recruiter by voice mail and e-mail. No response. Some days after those attempts, I called the RH Philadelphia office and was asked to leave a voice mail for a manager whom I was told would call me. No response. I thought based on the name that Robert Half was a professional organization. Apparently, I was mistaken.
I make a point of not leaving negative reviews but the lack of professionalism from this company has been infuriating. I have had issues with their admins not sending documents on multiple occasions and one recruiter from their law department in particular that blatantly lied about the process to, I believe, try and manipulate me into accepting positions that would only bring in commission money he had confirmed that they do receive commissions from the types of jobs he presented. When I informed this recruiter that I had questions about the contract, his response was borderline aggressive. He also followed up with emails that contradicted prior conversations. Basically, he lied about the potential of me being considered for permanent positions so that I would agree to work with the company, hoping that I would accept temporary positions in the meantime. Frustrated at having been lied to , I did want to not let my experience with the recruiter ruin any future opportunities; I called their office directly to ask to speak to someone. While the woman who answered the phone was friendly, she was difficult as well. She gave me the name of whom I needed to speak with but was not able to tell me who that person was or their position within the company. Turned out she was giving me the voicemail number of one of the department directors. I will say that the director who called me back was incredibly genuine, informative, professional, and, I believe, honest--also to say she confirmed that the information I had been told by the recruiter was entirely false. Feeling reassured that this company wasn't a scam, I reached back out to the recruiter, explained my concerns and frustrations but stated that I agreed with their advice and would be happy to move forward to consider temporary positions. He has ignored all further attempts to move forward. I had been working with a second recruiter from a different department, as well. I was sent a notice of a position and was told that, if I was interested, they would send a data entry assessment via email. I responded and never received the assessment. I sent an email to follow-up and was told that it had been their admin's responsibility to send it. That was several weeks ago and I have not heard any updates from that department sense. The director I had spoke with had told me to reach out with any further questions or concerns but, frankly, I'm so frustrated that I don't think they're worth any more of my time.
I’ve worked with quite a few recruiters in the Philadelphia area, and Robert Half/The Creative Group is by far the worst. Being overqualified for positions and hearing nothing, an online system that is ancient and completely lacking, and myriad recruiters who never answer messages and never record a thing about you because every time you do eventually get a hold of them, they need to re-question you about everything. To be clear, this isn’t a negative review based on not landing a position. Many recruiters fall short in that regard, but The Creative Group is so inept in all forms of service, I assume they are staffed with those who used their service and realized it must be the easiest, non-responsibility job out there.
I have never... ever seen a company so out of order and lack of communication. I had a position that was 6-month Contract to Hire that was ended prematurely due to the contracting company outsourcing their entire IT department. Since my time with them was short, I thought they would be able to get me somewhere else quickly. That was a big nope. They kept claiming that they couldn't find a position for me. After enough talk, I looked on their website to a whole slew of help desk positions. I got a MSFT certification in the middle of all this and they still couldn't find me work. I was applying to positions that other people's name on it and I still was forced to deal with this recruiter. The recruiter is misspelling common words. So towards the end of the job, they were giving me positions that are not in my "wheelhouse". i.e. I am a systems guy, they were giving me networking and telecom. I filled out their survey about how they did and I already got a call. Spoke to someone for 15 minutes, basically wanted me on and off the phone. Fast forward a bit to tax season of the next year, I have never worked for a company that took until the very end of January to send the W2's. Their website says that W2s would be available the 1st of February. When I looked today for it, nothing. I always did enjoy getting my tax refund early but looks like that's not happening this year. Thanks for putting me in a single job and only getting me money, Robert Half. That's about all you are good for. Honestly, looking back at the whole scenario, I think this place was giving me out of caliber jobs to show that they had positions available, but they wanted to keep me at the position so they didn't have to worry about losing a person as people were leaving the job due to being outsourced. Very unprofessional. Please close this building down, Robert Half. I am going to put a filter back on my email that auto deletes all Robert Half emails. This is how horrible this place is.
I used to work for Robert Half in DC back in 2008. I moved up to Delaware and started looking for work up here in my field. My experience with the Philadelphia team was nothing but a nightmare. The recruiters only place you in low paying roles that you are overqualified for. I constantly pleaded for them to look for another role while I assisted their account managers on this role. I ended up leaving them and abandoning the position because I could not afford the constant traveling between sites and the low pay made it unaffordable for me to continue. Stay clear.
