Story

Rodney & Etter, LLC is a New Orleans law firm comprising a diverse group of lawyers with backgrounds in business, private practice, government and science. With over 45 years of collective legal experience, and an additional 15 years of hands-on business expertise, the firm has evolved into a legal powerhouse recognized by its peers across the U.S. as highly knowledgeable and sought-after counsel or co-counsel with an extensive variety of courtroom experiences and an outstanding record of successful settlements and litigation for its clients. Its members have been admitted to the state and federal district courts of Louisiana and Texas, and the United States appellate courts for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits.

The firm takes at least one pro bono case per year, continuing the more than twenty-year commitment of its founder, Mr. Roy J. Rodney, Jr. to pro bono litigation, civil rights, and issues of public health and justice. In the period immediately following the failure of the levees in New Orleans in 2005, the firm took the lead in aggressively working for, and ultimately securing the rights of all displaced New Orleanians to vote in both the primary and run-off mayoral elections.

The firm is a certified Minority Business Enterprise by Louisiana Minority Supplier Development Council, and prides itself on its diverse staffing. New attorneys, paralegals, and support personnel, as well as technical consultants and general support services are recrutied on a non discriminatory basis.
