Rollin Smoke BBQ

In my +-month stay on the north side of Charelston I've hit Rolling Smoke, 4 or 5 times. Every time awesome, and affordable. The excellence of the brisket pizza was yet another pleasant surprise. I'll certainly be back for more pizza. Got the loaded baked with brisket. A lot of awesome for under $10. I'll add onions next time. Nice covered outdoor seating, a few tables have river views. Rollin Smoke BBQ in Big Chimney has some really great tacos. Today I tried both the pulled pork and chicken tacos. The tortillas were soft and very filling. They have a special creamy salsa like sauce on them that just blends all the flavors together. The meat was flavorful and tender; both meats are great choices for tacos. Plus, two tacos are only $5!

We made an impromptu stop here for bbq and were glad we did. The brisket was tender, juicy amd full of smokey good flavor, as was the pulled pork and pulled chicken. They had a large assortment of sauces to top off the meat.. the fiery sweet was my favorite. They also had a good assortment of sides and choices for non bbq loving kids. Hot dogs,pepperoni rolls To top off the great food.... they were super fast. Edited to add: after I did this review I realized I had left my purse. They had already closed but the staff was so helpful to get it back to me, as I was from out of town. THANK YOU.

This local restaurant is a treasure! Right in the river, with indoor and outdoor eating space. The staff is friendly and FAST! Everything we had was delicious and the portions are large! Highly recommend checking this out if you're in the area!

Good, but there were some issues... My husband and I hired Rollin Smoke BBQ to cater our wedding, and before I mention my two grievances, I want to say that their food is fantastic and their management did offer us a partial refund when we communicated what had gone wrong. So what went wrong...Rollin Smoke BBQ did not bring the food that we had ordered and then their staff overserved what they did bring, which meant that two people did not receive any dinner. Flashback: My husband and I met with who I believe is the Rollin Smoke owner or manager months before our wedding. She was very accomodating and prepared a full spread of food for us to test. The food was delicious and we soon after put our order in over the phone. Flashforward: Come the day of our wedding, the Rollin Smoke staff arrived on time and our dinner service began right on schedule, but my husband and I immediately noticed that while they did bring the correct meat, they did not bring the correct sides, which was a big bummer. Later in the evening, I learned that two of our guests did not receive any dinner and they had to eat what was leftover from cocktail hour. This stressed me out for a huge portion of the evening, which is not how you want to feel on your wedding day... We had ordered enough food to feed 110 guests and 10 vendors. 10 guests did not attend the day of and still, two people went unfed. I can't image what would have happened if our full guest list had arrived... I called Rollin Smoke after our wedding and the manager explained that the staff had overserved portions to the guests who first came through the buffet line, and that they must have had some sort of miscommunication amongst themselves in regards to our food order. While the food was good, and you should definitely pop in for lunch or dinner, I don't know that I would recommend them to cater your wedding.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The best BBQ I have ever had!! Staff is great and their food is ALWAYS AMAZING. The baked beans are one of my favorites. I haven't tried their pizzas yet but everything I've tried so far has been delicious!!! They now have a dine in area that they did not have a few years ago when I first discovered this place.

Was my first visit on Jan. 11, 2020 during a motorcycle ride. The service was good even though they were busy. I sat in their enclosed dinning area. The food was fabulous. Will put this place in my route again. Edit: Stopped here again on Feb. 11, 2020 with my son and we tried their sampler to check out all there smoked meats. It was awesome ! The chicken was not dry like many other smokehouses I've visited. The Brisket was delicious and also not dry. My favorite are the ribs and pulled pork. Note, this is a small place, parking isn't great, however the food makes up for it. Will stop here on my next trip to the area.

Not bad. The meat was good, pulled pork and rib were my 2 preferred ones and the wings weren't fried which i liked. The potato wedges and mac n cheese were underwhelming. The workers were very friendly and i liked the atmosphere. The hot a**sauce went great with everything in my opinion. I'd come back if i was back in the area.

Ordered today for our dinner this evening. Got the pulled pork with slaw on the side, potato wedges and coleslaw, pulled pork with slaw on the side, mac n cheese and coleslaw. Actually ordered the sampler but had to substitute due to them being out of many items in the sampler. Completely understandable as they are closing their doors Friday September 2, 2022. Due to our economy it is no longer feasible for them to continue. So sad to hear this as I just tasted each item I ordered and everything is delicious. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is lack of green veggies for side options.

Smoked Bologna and Brisket were amazing. Don't forget about the smoked Mac and Cheese!
