This park has some cool ruins and has some varied terrain of hills and a river to go along. The river is very pretty, some of the trails are a bit steep though so be careful if you have a dog who pulls if you are not going to go off leash. Some trails are also lightly marked.
This historic set of trails a dog owner’s dream. The terrain, stream, historic mill skeletons and lush tree canopy are energizing and soothing. Prepare for your water dogs to finish wet and to be dusted-up and sweaty if you take advantage of all the tails and natural features. Locals can easily incorporate this suburban wonder in a daily schedule 1.5 hours in and out , especially during DST. Your hyper dog will appreciate the workout and occasional meet-ups with other off-leash canines. In short, it’s a park for everyone. Be advised that the steeper trail is slippery after rain and snow. You will get a cardiac boost no matter what trails you frequent. Enjoy any time of day. Ample parking. Caution for some poison ivy in the remote off-path areas.
This is my favorite secret spot to frequent on the Main Line so I almost hate to give it away. But this park is amazing and it’s a quick drive right off of 76!! A truly hidden gem. It’s full of winding trails all through the hillside as well as neat history scattered throughout the park. There are multiple locations of old mill ruins dating before the turn of the century back towards the late 1700s! Theres a nice shallow creek at the park’s base which you can wade in for some summer fun. If you’re willing to walk up the creek far enough you can even find small watering holes to swim. There’s even a fenced in dog park as well as off leash locations for registered doggies! So if you love dogs I’m sure you’ll get your fix here! The trails can get steep at the bottom and they’re unpacked so wear proper footing. Happy hiking!!
Very lovely place for an easy/moderate hike. There is a fairly steep section, and some kind of rocky parts. Beautiful woods with a creek and cool ruins of old stone mill houses. Some pretty flowers at the end of the trail. You can walk your dogs there and there are separate on leash and off leash sections.
Amazing park to walk dogs. It’s easy to get lost when walking around the park. As a good rule, downhill gets to the river, uphill gets to the parking lot. The trails get complicated.
Very dense with poison ivy on narrow oaths. None of the trails are marked or easily discernable. The trail map was mostly unhelpful and we found ourselves accidentally doing the wrong loops or being unable to find the trails we wanted to hike.
I love this park. It has so many different trails but you'll always find your way out if you stay on the paths. The park is well kept. I have never seen a piece of trash on my walks. My kids love to come and play soccer in the field. You will encounter dogs off the leash at the park but the trails are labeled so you know which ones will have off the leash dogs.
Great well kept trails for off leash hikes. Nice stream/water area for dogs to cool off. Large fenced in dog park area!
This is a great dog park hidden in a beautiful area. Walking trails galore! The dog park is well shaded and lots of room for the pups to run!! Nice people too!!
Park with many trails and an enclosed dog park. Entrance part is on-leash then the trails themselves are off-leash. Lots of people with their dogs off-leash walk around; however it is very large so you don’t really run into too many people. Many hills and rocky roads so dress appropriately!
