Ron Brown High School

My friends son goes here and I've heard the bad and good, they take them on a lot of trips and such and make sure to keep the kids engaged which i love and respect yet I've also heard bad things such as, fights every week, my nephew has even told me about "beefs" and that some students have the ability to do whatever they want with no repercussions, he's told me about the subtle insults thrown around such as their ties being a noose,and that they shouldn't go protest against injustices because they have low test scores and that some kids are even tickled as a punishment. I believe DCPS should be contacted immediately.

The school has a good vision and isn’t doing bad at making that vision come to life but at times expectations can be set to high. Still a great school

My cousin goes to Ron Brown, heard of many bad things about them. I heard they sports teams was good though. I heard of some "Care team" or whatever which is stupid. They tickle students or whatever, which I find disturbing, you're supposed to be on business and they treating school like it's elementary school. My lil cousin constantly complains about his class, telling me how his Spanish teacher is setting the students up to get kicked out of class, and she's playing victim. He said Avala or Avila or somrthing, and described her. He's had numerous situations with her, being kicked out of class, then being TICKLED as a punishment. This school really needs some help. Idk how that school operates, but don't touch my cousin, for real. That's nasty, do that with your own kids, wife or husband. My lil cousin stressing because of the selfishness of the staff, stating there isn't any change cause of the teacher literally LYING to the staff, and they fall for it. That "Circle" thing ya do, I've been to 1. It don't change a thing cause the next day he was sent out of class AGAIN. My lil cousin FOR SURE won't be returning next year, that school some garbage. They lucky I can't curse on the review, because I would've let them have it. One more thing, don't try to delete my review cuz I'm speaking the truth. That school really needs some serious evaluation because I KNOW for sure somebody had to have already reported that school on numerous occasions. It's sad. Thought it was gonna work out for my lil cousin, but I see it didn't. Wouldn't recommend this school to my worst enemy.

There is a teacher at the school named Mr. Simpson He gives the kids he is scared of a good grade and the people who actually work he doesn’t give them the grade they deserve.
