I had spinal surgery, L2 3, L4 5 a year ago this May 2018 with Dr Greenwald. My surgery and recovery could not have gone better. If you are looking for a doctor that will hold your hand and tell you it will be OK then Dr Greenwald is not your guy, but if you have come to the end of your rope and know you need surgery, see Dr. Greenwald. He will answer your questions honestly and won’t do surgery unless he sees it’s necessary. Thank you Dr Greenwald, I finally have my life back!

Yes, Dr. Greenwald can be brusque, but he's a fantastic diagnostician and surgeon. After I consulted 3 neurosurgeons, he did cervical disc fusion on me in 2010 with an uneventful and easy recovery. He is conservative and will only operative if strictly necessary he will try medical approaches first if warranted. He since recommended me to Dr. Arthur Ting when I had what I thought may be new cervical disc related pain but was a rotator cuff tear. 3 months after surgery with Dr. Ting and I'm pain free and playing tennis again which is pretty remarkable. I highly recommend both Drs. Greenwald and Ting. - both fantastic diagnosticians and surgeons.

I have no evidence I made a right desition going with him at this point. I have not a diagnostic yet and everyday he has a new excuse to delay the results of the lab.
