Read about their upside down pizza so drove 1 hour to try it. It is really good but can use more sauce towards the end of the pizza. Went at night so pizza was reheated, making it more crispy crunchy than would have liked. Ziti slice is generous with pasta portion, but felt it could be a bit thicker and more sauce also. Wish it were my neighborhood pizzeria, the drive and street parking off the expressway msne a return hard.
What a great stop. My family and I came to New York city to site see and stayed at an Airbnb down the street. We were in pinch for food so we decided to try this place and what do you know, New York City really is known for ! This random whole in the wall was delicious, had a line to order when we walked in and a line to order when we walked out. That's when you know a place is good when people constantly go to it. Definitely would recommend a stop here if you are in the area!.
Bestest best pizza I've ever tried! They've got a nice environment! Choices are so many! Literally all Italian items they have!
Have been enjoying their pizza for over 30 years! Love their regular slice, margherita slice, rice balls, sandwiches, pastas, and of course their famous upside down Sicilian slice! You can't go wrong with Rosa's!
Overall, the pizza is great. Perfectly cooked. The garlic knots are also great. They have the right amount of oil, garlic, cheese, and the size is on point. The guys making and serving the pizza are friendly and approachable. For the quality of the pizza, it’s worth going back. But, there is a major downside. The cashier who answers the phone, and pretty much takes the orders is unlikeable, in many ways. Her attitude is always sour, and it makes you not want to deal with her. It takes away from the customer experience. I’m sure the owner or a manager won’t see this, but it’s worth bringing it up.
My favorite pizza of all time! So good , my cat wants a bite
I went there for lunch with my coworker, we ordered the chicken roll sandwich it's so delicious I'll come back soon
Second time having pizza in this place and can say that it’s good. Sauce ratio and taste was just right amount of salty and sweet. Cheese tasted meaty thick and hearty - if you remember the old style pizzas this is what made it delicious. Sausage hero was a surprise - expected whole sausage and not what looked like the toppings on a pizza inside a roll - would likely skip the hero next time. Total cost $25.
The food and pizza slices are very good. I think the ceasar slice is their best one but all their choices would be better if they would heat up the slices a bit more. I got a beef patty with cheese and the cheese was still cold and shredded inside when I got it back. Not how you have a beef patty. Otherwise a good spot to have a quick bite for a good price.
Rosa’s Pizza is definitely a place I’d recommend checking out if you’re a local or happen to be in the area. The dough used for their pizza and garlic knots is fresh and soft. They serve large slices too. I wish there was a bit more sauce on my pizza. There’s a nice char underneath each slice too. Unfortunately, the pizza doesn’t hold itself up well, so let it cool down a bit before taking a bite. The garlic knots aren’t overwhelming you with garlic, but they’re a bit oily. There’s a nice crunch with each bite and dipping it into marinara sauce is recommended; the sauce is on the sweeter side and not too acidic either.
