1968 mustang fastback family owned since new! Bill I've learned so much about my car its unbelievable. Originally went in for a clutch pedal hanger replacement turned out fantastic brand new clutch feel ended up with a top loader 4 speed in stall and multiple things fixed for prior repairs from my dad!!! Lol long story short I'm extremely happy with the end result thanks again Bill
Strap in folks, I’m going to enjoy writing this review. I recently inherited a ‘69 mustang that hasn’t run in a few years but generally in great condition. Saw this place supposedly specializes in these cars and was willing to pay top dollar to have things done right. I never got far enough to find out. The first time I called was in early June. No one answered the phone during normal business hours. I left a message. Didn’t get a call back but called again a few days later and talked to someone and explained the paragraph above. I was told that it would take awhile but if I didn’t hear back by mid-July to call again. Very promising! Mid-July rolls around and I haven’t heard anything. Places are backed up due to Covid, I get it. I call to make sure I’m still on the list? Talk to the same guy owner? who says he remembers me, I’m next on the list and probably 1-2 weeks to get the car in. Great, I start to arrange to have the car moved. He asked for my info again in case he misplaced it the first time. Sure, no problem. Two weeks pass and I don’t hear anything, it’s late July, I call again. He’s waiting to get a car done to make space. Likely another 1-2 weeks. No problem. This time I ask if he has any partnerships or recommendations for a towing company. As a classic car business, surely they see these companies all the time. No. He doesn’t. Three more weeks pass, it’s mid August, I haven’t heard anything. I call again and ask about getting the car in. I’m still “at the top of the list” but it might be about 3 weeks. I’m bummed, my wife’s birthday was in August and I wanted the car running as a gift. Oh well. I wait another three weeks, it’s early September, I call again. I’ve been downgraded from top of the list to somewhere on the list. It’ll be another 3 weeks. He will call me when he has a spot. I’m a nice guy, worked many years in service jobs, thank him kindly. This time I don’t feel like following up again. It’s been 7 weeks since I last talked to Rose City Mustang. Almost 5 months since I initially called. They have not once, at any point in 5 months, called me. They clearly have no intention of taking my money, which I was begging to give them. It left me wondering, how could this be? I have a few theories - 1 - Rose City Mustang is a front for nefarious activity. They don’t actually do any work on cars and the business serves only as a front. They pretend to specialize in a specific model of car from one decade to try to get as few people looking for work as possible. 2 - Rose City Mustang never finishes their projects because they’d rather take your car hostage, joy riding and playing with their your toys and never turning out any vehicles. Any major work is declined and when they find something they like it’s always a few weeks from being done. Think Ferris Beuhler’s day off, they try to run the miles back when you finally get your car. 3 - Rose City Mustang is run by such an incompetent, disorganized individual that it’s actually not capable of being a quality business. The owner is overwhelmed by completing work in his own trade and his lacking as a mechanic is only barely outshined by his lacking in customer service. Anyways, I’ve aligned with another shop who gave me a date to drop off my car on the first call, even though I still had to wait almost 2 months. Glad that I found a legitimate business to give my money to. Just find it unfortunate how many great businesses have been crippled by Covid, and somehow this place is still around. It’s a damn shame!
Had a great experience with Bill. His labor prices are fair and his work is exceptional. I will bring the mustang back again to him if it needs any major work done to it. Has a great selection of parts also.
Such a trustworthy and knowledgeable owner. A real treasure and a throw back to times that are no longer.
The owner is very honest, and won't rip you off!
Usually always have what I'm in need of and reasonably priced.
Great place with good people.
Had the part I needed when NEEDED it.
