The only aspect of the research center that I can review is the scheduling of participants because that's as far as I was able to get. I was scheduled for a study today at 10:am and when I got there at 9:30 am I was informed that I had been cancelled from the study because all the slots were filled. I was not previously notified by phone or e-mail although they had been provided with both my email address and telephone# which could have been utilized (I feel) in just this situation. I was informed this was not unusual and often they would still be scheduling participants when the study teams would inform that they had already filled a study prompting them to call people and cancel even as late as opening day of the study. Apparently I didn't rate a late or even an after the fact cancellation call. What we obviously have here is a "failure to communicate" between the study teams, the schedulers and the participants. I know this may be viewed by som at Rose Research and even some of the public reading this post as a small thing, but as someone who had to make special arrangements in my schedule to accommodate this appointment and then endure the frustration of bumper to bumper rush hour traffic in order to arrive on time, to say I felt a little shortchanged (in more ways than one) when I arrived and was informed that I had been cancelled without notification or even a token apology mind you, to say I felt like I had been humiliated and completely taken for granted, to say I felt helpless and without recourse are all understatements. To say I was filled with trepidation and apprehension when the woman asked if I would like them to maintain my name for consideration in future studies is also an understatement Glenn Scott Jeter
