Ross Joy DO

This specialist changed my life. Dr Ross is straightforward and resourceful. Could not recommend her more highly. I had debilitating anxiety and what she has done for me with treatment, including sending me out for CBT to a therapist who specializes in anxiety, she is a hero to me, my family and friends. She explained to me that seeing a therapist who specializes in your particular Dx is as important as seeing a specialist for a physical ailment. Best psychiatrist in Charlotte.

This woman prescribed me Xanax at 17 and kept me on it for 6 months. She argued with my doctors. She prescribed me 2 antidepressants at the same time and this caused serotonin syndrome. I think as someone that’s SO EDUCATED you should at least know the risks of combining medications. Literally no one I know that has been to her has had a positive experience. Bad attitude, judgmental, rude, makes snap decisions, passive aggressive. I literally hated having to go to her every week only because I was underage and couldn’t find anyone else that could help me.

I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment with Dr. Ross. I almost let the negative reviews scare me away, but I found her to be very personable, compassionate, and helpful in putting a treatment plan together and providing clear next steps. I look forward to continuing to work with her.

I did not have a good experience with this doctor. I had an initial session which she charged a significant amount for. She agreed to a wean off my current medication and stated someone would call to schedule a follow up appointment. A month later and I have still not received a call, which is not professional, especially since a change/decrease in medication was suggested. Additionally, she did not provide any information that I could not have easily found online. She just recommended other forms of treatment, without providing any helpful information on her own. I will not be returning for continued services.

My experience of Dr. Ross was not a positive one. She did not listen well and then Seemed to make decisions based on misinformation. She also mischaracterized conversations with other therapists and doctors with whom she spoke. One of my doctors indicated that Dr. Ross characterized their consultation with exactly the opposite of what my doctor said. This type of poor listening can injure patients both emotionally and physically, especially since she prescribes controlled substances. She comes across as judgmental and does not listen. She seems to make snap decisions. And, she charges almost twice the going rate for these services, all cash out of pocket. Find any other doctor and see them instead. This OD is dangerous to the health and safety of her patients.

I love dr Ross. She listens to me and helps me. She always lays out all my options and I love her for that. She listens to everything I say and shares her feedback. I been seeing her for 2 years and I couldn’t ask for a better doctor!!!!! Rhonda

I had to switch doctors because this office will bill you if there is a problem with the rx at the pharmacy or if you’re late for an appointment. It was adding up to a ridiculous amount of money.

My child is beginning a new chapter in her life by returning to college as a more focused and more importantly, happy young adult. Couldn't have done this without the wisdom and expertise of Joy Ross.

Dr Ross has been professional, empathetic, perceptive and patient. I trust her. She has truly been a life saver.
