One of the best BBQ places in the country as far as I’m concerned. Ribs were fall off the bone. Mac&Cheese was creamy and rich. Fried okra was delectable. And all the sauces were fantastic. Get the banana pudding for dessert. Hard to find a criticism here. 9.4/10Food: 5/5
Post Oak almost lived up to its hype! The dry rub wings and Texas pork ribs were delicious, and the brisket tacos were finger licking scrumptious. The brisket, which is touted as the star of the show was shockingly disappointing: it appeared to have been left under a heat lamp for several hours. It was extremely dry and unappealing~ we didn't eat it. The pulled pork sandwich was quite dry as well, but a soaking of bbq sauce remedied that quickly. The margaritas were definitely on point: I could have had a couple of more if I didn't have to drive! The waitstaff was super friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I would recommend this place as a must stop on a trip to Denver. Parking: Street parking available in a 4 block radius
Dang, food and service was great. Went there on Wednesday when the had Texas whiskey pour specials. That was a good deal. Ordered the smoked chicken wings with spicy BBQ sauce. My mistake is I got the blue cheese dressing which I didn't even use. This will ruin the flavor of the smoked wings and BBQ sauce. They should tell you that you're making a mistake when you ask for that. It just takes away the awesome flavors already there. Will be back again.
This was AMAZING! They were running a Free Special Ad here on Facebook for a Pulled Pork Sandwich, I filled out the info and it arrived in my email. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes from ordering to done! Friendly staff, very inviting inside. Texas Style with Pickles n Crunchy Onions was my choice, I also tried 2 Barbecue Sauces and the Jalapeno Slaw, all was incredible. I even had to remove the bread on half my sandwich in order to finish it. I've tried a lot of pulled pork barbecue in my years, honestly this was the best of all, you will not be disappointed. Authentic, no frills Texas BBQ that's always delicious. Good sides, too. Keep in mind that it gets packed during dinner time and popular items like the brisket and pulled pork sell out fast. I wish there was just a little more seating.Food: 5/5
As a Texan, I know a thing or two about Texas BBQ and this spot is pretty damn authentic. We ordered some brisket, hot links, a loaded baked potato with burnt ends. I really enjoyed the variety of bbq sauce styles offered at the table. Seems like these guys really know what they’re doing in the BBQ department. Everything was very tasty. We even got some banana pudding, but had to take it to go because we were so full from lunch! Surprise standout— Brussel sprouts were out of this world delicious. I need that recipe ASAP. I won’t share it, promise!
The brisket sandwich was delicious corn muffin Yum ...I didn't care .much for collard greens next time I will do the brussel sprouts. Macaroni was too denti & sauce was like paste But there are so many other sides to choose from next time! I will go bk the meat & vibe is totally fun & laid bk & I would to try the chili & brussel sprouts...I have told my family about it Tea it's good. Check out the other places while there ..Denver Cat Rescue is one of a kind & the coffee shop across the street is locally owned & operated & is delicious!
Really was hopeful in trying this BBQ joint since I love Central TX BBQ. The pork ribs were very good, but the brisket was dry and oxidized. The turkey was also extremely dry. Brussel sprouts, fried okra, corn muffins, and collards were all fantastic. Great customer service, but the meats could be better improved!Food: 3/5
Man oh man, now THIS spot is real BBQ. I'm originally from KC and have lived in Denver about 6 years and after coming here yesterday I can confidently say this is the absolute best in the area. Texans really know how to make BBQ..the ribs were outstanding, the pulled pork sandwich Carolina style was 100% on point, and to top it off that whiskey selection is phenomenal. Absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back..once I can stomach BBQ again that is, the food was so good we ordered more than we should have and ate ourselves into a BBQ coma
As a Texan, I heard this place brings Post Oak in from Texas to make their food and that was all I needed to know that I had to come in. Walking in, this place feels, smells and looks like a mix of some of my favorite barbecue places from back home. Since it was Sunday I had the Meaty Bloody Mary. It was delicious and I highly recommend it, even if its not Sunday. We had the dry rub wings, brisket and mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was delicious and I enjoyed the variety of BBQ sauces available at the table. The pickles seem house made and were also very complimentary to the meats. The whiskey collection available here is very impressive, they have plenty of local options, even from small distilleries.
