Char siu and sweet potato Manaupa are nice and so are the pork hash. But two of the lady's have bad customer service, and have been rude on multiple occasions. They definitely treat non-asian people different and My wife and I have decided to stop giving this restaurant our money if we are going to be treated rude.Food: 4/5
The food is absolutely delicious. This "hole in the wall" type of restaurant might not look fancy, nor is the service really good, but the food is amazing and fresh. Kailua Pork was just sooo good! I loved the half-moon and dim sum as well.
My go to place to get baked manapuas whenever I'm on Oahu to take back home! Always delicious never disappointed great service to!! Parking: Free parking Behind or on the street.
Was told go try there buns, they were not good at all. Also aside from the almost dead big cockroachs on the floor that i saw moving after i got the food, the chowmein, Sui mi and another dumpling I had were also terrible and did not eat the stuff we got after a bite or two. I am asian and this was the worst form of asian food i have eaten. Do not eat here
Everyone raves about their manapua and plate lunches. MEH. Their plate lunches are really not that good. Look at their food selections when you get there. You’ll see for yourself. Their manapua is at best AVERAGE. Go into Chinatown to Sing Cheong Yuan Bakery on Maunakea St. and get the manapua there.
Pork hash. No taste. Half moon. No taste. Baked char siu, ok. Fried noodles. Totally dried up. Was very shocked at the quality of everything I bought after seeing all the great reviews. Very very disappointing. So bad these should not have been sold.
Consistently good. Always very busy at lunch hour, but service is quick. New addition in July 2019 is the Apple pastry with raisins.
this place was really good I really enjoyed the texture of the bun I wish it was much warmer but it’s OK I had the vegetarian bun as well as a sweet potato bun and also the black sesame coconut bun all of them were really tasty and my friend had the chicken and chicken curry and the barbecue pork bun everything came up to about $14 which is a pretty solid deal
I always loved their product in the past So don't get me wrong, they r still kinda busy.My only gripe is that the "Quality. & Size" of the various Manapua is so much smaller now, than before & the quality & taste of the pork hash went down too. Always known for good food product,. They have really gone by the wayside. Really disappointed in their quality & taste. Used to love this place since I was younger. Sad to see!!!
Been here a number of times, and we'll go back. Great looking baked bao/manapua, but I'm off wheat, so regretfully can't eat any. Broke that rule to try their Mah tai soo. Good, but not the best I've had. It's dicey what's available each day. One day had their Ip Chai, which is char siu wrapped in steamed mochi rice and ti leaf. The bomb. Was not able to find it after that. Their siu mai doesn't have shrimp in it, just pork hash, which is great for me since I avoid shrimp. So many temping BBQ and warm items. Parking available, access from Kukui St. For the time that we're in there, the parking is usually free during the week.
