Rumi Turkish Grill

We live locally and have never had a worse experience. We had to ask for tap water, and when we received the water the waitress put the bottle down without even bothering to actually fill our glasses. We never received any service; that is usually part of why you eat at a restaurant- it felt much more of a take out place. We attempted to get our “waitress’” attention since I never had utensils; alas that never occurred. In addition to that, we paid for lamb and chicken at a rate that was unbelievably expensive considering the lack of service. The staff did not acknowledge your presence unless you specifically asked for assistance. I would recommend the food truck on Columbus a million times more- plus, their lamb actually tastes fresh to boot! The pictured plate was 19.00 and we were given NO options as to the temperature of the lamb/dressing of the salad. Such a disappointing venue.

Great food! (We are no expert in Turkish food, but familiar with it and we found this place as being pretty good). It's close to the view of Manhattan skyline (great walk with great views before or after dinner). Would definitely eat there again!

Try the slow cooked lamb over eggplant 🍆 Delicious If they heated their plates I would given 6 stars. It was great. A must try.

Nice place for Turkish/Persian cuisine.. It is generally crowded during lunch hours. The service is good. Ambience is fine. The food is authentic. It is not very expensive either. Nice place for team lunch.
