I've been here for a number of events. It's great if the weather is nice. The lack of ample shade can cause tension amongst attendees trying to stay coolVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Summer Stage is nyc in the summer. Check the schedule and make your plans! Bring your blankets to sit on and pack your picnics. Great to take in all kinds of music here. Most shows are free, some have long lines, some require advance purchase. They do sell food and alcohol.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Great venue for free concerts/events. I visited Rumsey Playfield for Youth Pride, Good Morning America, and also Summer Stage. Each time was great and I had no complaints. The venue is spacious but can get crowded easily.
Great place to see an outdoor event. Layout allows for 2 distinct areas, one that's usually setup with food and drink vendors and the other seating for the main stage. Summer stage lineup runs the gamut from esoteric world artists to well know stars. Random other events held there like OZY Fest and political speakers. Insider tip, grassy fields across rd and South of the fenced area can usually hear all going on on stage.

Super fun venue. Easy to get in. Plenty of very clean porta potties and plenty of beer/ wine spots which goes with the porta potties. Mostly GA but all good because it is pretty small and the stage is easy to see from anywhere.
This is such a wonderful venue to see live music! It's charm is that it is not too big or far from the stage.
Where do I begin. This is the best place ever to see a concert. Florence + the Machine was a moving experience for FREE. Check out the free Summer a Concert Series from Good Morning America. Check out their website to see all of the other concerts but it is an amazing place. Florence was during sunrise and the way the sun shined through the trees as she sang was angelic. I recommend 1000%.
Once upon a time, this was truly a most spectacular, naturally hidden Gem of the majestic splendor of Nature, within the NYC. Always, with outstanding musical performances, encompassing close and intimate masterpieces, of a multitude of talented stars. However, after 1999 and the 21st century, slowly began to become too well known. Therefore, unfortunately becoming overcrowded, thus losing its intrinsically intimate enchantment. Except for when, the most spectacular artists a true diva Jewel performed behind the bandstand. Truthfully epic. Absolutely Like
