I am a long time patient of Dr. Amanda Doyle of Russak Dermatology. She is everything you want in a physician. She is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, caring and personable. She truly cares about her patients and makes a concerted effort to see to it that her patients are well taken care of. I had avoided seeing her due to fear of traveling during the pandemic. When a troublesome dermatological issue arose, I called her office and had a virtual appointment with Dr. Doyle in less than an hour. She immediately called in a prescription and followed up with true concern for my well-being. I was also able to see Dr. Doyle in person a few days thereafter by which time the prescription was already helping. The office staff is always very pleasant and helpful. There is never a problem reaching the office by phone nor in obtaining an appointment. My emails are always responded to promptly. The office is easy to get to and I have never had to wait more than five minutes to be seen. I highly recommend Dr, Doyle and Russak Dermatology!
I've been a patient of Dr.Doyle since 2019 when I had a horrible case of cystic acne. Dr.Doyle not only resolved my skin issue on the first try, no less! she has made my skin literally perfect since. I've been to tons of other dermatologists in the past, and none of them can hold a candle to her; she's truly in a league of her own, and is the best doctor I've ever had, period. I've recommended all my friends to see her whenever they've told me about a skin/hair problem that they're experiencing, and the ones who have gone in have been thoroughly impressed, and have had their issues resolved. Being a patient of hers has eased so much anxiety in my life, because I'm 100% positive that if a new dermatological issue would ever pop up for me, I know I would be in the best hands. She is also kind, attentive and has amazing bedside manner. If I could give her more stars I would!
When I came to Dr. Doyle over a year ago, my skin was in the worst state it's ever been. Having come off of an antibiotic that left my skin raw, irritated and extremely sensitive, I went to three separate dermatologists and estheticians that only exacerbated the issue. I went to Dr. Doyle defeated, in tears, and she not only listened intently with empathy and so much care, but she gave me hope. Days after being on the skincare routine that Dr. Doyle prescribed, I could see and feel a difference in the overall look and health of my skin. I have never looked back since. Seeing Dr. Doyle is the highlight of my overall health routine - in my darkest skin journey, she was the best beacon of light and continues to be even months / years after! I will forever be a Dr. Doyle fan and loyal patient.
I've seen Dr. Doyle a few times and she has never been anything less than professional and compassionate. She listens to all concerns and questions and explains everything in great detail. The office is very responsive and I've never had any issues with scheduling appointments or filling medications. Highly recommend.
Dr. Doyle was able to clear up my acne from my first visit with her. I've been a patient for about 7 months now & look forward to continuing over the years. I'm super happy with how my skin looks after IPL and Clear & Brilliant sessions. The sessions, along with her recommendations, have been very effective. All the staff are very friendly & office is beautiful :
I’ve been a patient here now for three months and my skin has absolutely transformed. I’m currently seeing Iris and she has done wonders to my skin!! I really was losing hope before I met her, I started trying every product that I thought would help; I wasted so much money on new products for them to fail to make a difference or make my skin worse. It’s so nice to find a dermatologist who listens, and really cares. My confidence has tremendously increased and I’m actually comfortable to leave the house without makeup now. Thank you, Iris! 10/10!
Dr. Russak is clearly the best. Had to stop going 2 years back due to an insurance change, and can not find her equal. Saw her for at least 10 years prior. Very thorough, remembers everything, and is simply a brilliant, caring doctor. I never left an appt. worried, even when work needed to be done. Calls immediately with information and test results. Considering switching insurance to go back.
I have been seeing Dr. Doyle for the past four years. She has excellent bedside manners and is very patient and thoughtful. She treated me for the worst acne breakout of my life and is now treating my acne scars. I look forward to more significant improvements in the future with Dr. Doyle’s help!
Dr. Doyle is a brilliant practitioner. She is kind and most importantly, she is effective. After dealing with a decade plus of skin issues, Dr. Doyle gave me back a confidence in my skin that I thought was once irretrievable.
I went in to see Dr Russak for a pimple on my chin, and ended up having my chin literally cut open by a surgeon, and then sent to the emergency room when that failed. Here’s what happened. I went in to see Dr Russak for a pimple on my chin. The doctor doesn’t even bother examining and has her nurse practitioner, Iris, handle everything. Fine. Iris administers a steroid shot on the pimple, diagnose me with cellulitis, and prescribes me like $250 worth of topical medication. Fine, I buy it and start using them. The next day, my chin starts swelling up and by the third day, my chin is literally 3x the normal size. It’s huge, extremely painful and red. So Iris prescribes a new set of like $150 worth of prescriptions that I start using. Doesn’t work. So she prescribed more medication. One of the antibiotics, Bactrim, starts to take effect and the chin is starting to decrease, so Iris tells me to stop taking the Bactrim. Within a day of stopping, the cellulitis comes back and my chin re-swells up to 3x the normal size. So I go into Russak’s office and Dr Russak says she sees a cyst under my chin muscle, so she sends me to a plastic surgeon Dr Nicholas bastidas to get my chin cut open and have the cyst drained. So I rush to see Dr Bastidas, and he literally cuts my chin open while I’m awake. I can still hear the sound of my skin getting ripped off my face as he digs around under my skin….anyway, he finds no cyst to drain. But the chin area is clearly still huge and infected, so Bastidas sends me to the ER. I go to the ER at Weill Cornell since I had good experience there previously, and the ER doctor was like, “oh you should have just stayed on the Bactrim and finished a full 10 day course of the antibiotic. If you stop it early as Iris had told me to do, the antibiotic doesn’t fully eradicate the infection and it can come back worse. Also, you don’t need these 8 different creams Russak prescribed - just keep your routine simple.” After the ER trip, I completed a 10 day course of Bactrim and removed all the topicals that Iris prescribed, and my cellulitis healed and chin is back to normal. Moral of the story: don’t go to Russak dermatology. Don’t go to a doctor that oversells you medications, has her NP do all the work, and literally doesn’t know how to handle a pimple.
