Finally got to check out the Russell Industrial Center this week. Loved it there. We parked, walked around a bit, and had a very nice meeting. This venue is pure Detroit. There are a few shops set up inside. But a whole lot of spaces for rent for any type of event. I'm glad I was finally able to get up close and personal with this place. Watching that HUGE lion mural for 30+ years was intriguing! Plus Eastern Market just down street.
Old industrial plant with great potential. It’s possible to walk around and get easy into the buildings. You can feel the american dream of bygone days.
Ambience was awesome. Event was for the Monster Ball Halloween event. Perfect combination of size/space and stark industrial. Perfect mood setting. Not sure I’d feel the same if a wedding was held there, but was AWESOME for this event.
ahh the Russell industrial center! What could be.... it's a cool facility that has many square feet of space, looks like there could be tons of places where one could shop in an industrial atmosphere. Unfortunately, the place is near empty, I'm not sure what the draw is. And there is a fairly large dispensary on the premises. This is going to drive more shops away, I think. I don't see much of a bright future for this space....
Went to a concert had a good time. The venue was huge and had a large space. Workers were nice and diligent. Good atmosphere overall. Worth the price 100%.
Perfect for Music Concerts, all amenities are within the center. Looks old and raw which compliments the music and sentiments of in-house underground music DJs and audiences Plenty of parking available, easy to find and navigate. Near Detroit City.
I recently went to the Russell for the first time for an event. Parking was a steep $20. Once inside the drinks were also steep, and one of the bar tenders ended up charging double the amount that the other did. $56 for a round of two drinks is absurd. The bathrooms had attendants and it felt uncomfortable seeing they withheld the soap and paper towel, as well as having limited toilet paper in the facility, pressuring you to tip every time you have to use the restroom. One man who I believe was working there they wore a safety vest kept wandering into the women's restroom to talk to the bathroom attendant while there were people in it and made me feel very uncomfortable. Building was also very cold. I don't think they were running any climate control. I won't return unless it's a really important event.
It was lit Detroit stand up had a great great time
The photography studio I rented had a really nice facility and I hope it continues to thrive. The building itself is a work of art and I'm glad to have seen such a marvel up close.
Visited for the dirty show. The second year in a row. For large events like this, it is just better to Uber or Lyft since the parking absolutely sucks.
