My last three experiences with doctors at the Sacramento VA Medical Center have been horrible. The Neurologist was down right rude at times and the Orthopedic doctor was totally useless and unhelpful. I have personally observed Veterans in the parking lot frustrated and swearing while security was following them close behind. So sad, nothing changes even with 22 Veterans committing suicide every day. Some have occurred in the parking lots of the VA hospitals. Putting a message on every voicemail that if you are considering suicide to call the crisis hotline will solve nothing. Veterans deserve better doctors that want to help them! 😡😡
I give it two stars because the majority of the staff is great, except for the two that sit at the front desk in orthopedics/podiatry. I called every day to get a message to the doctor that I had left an item in his office but it got tossed out.

I have received excellent care from both Nurses, Doctors and Schedulers at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. Dr. Toby Steele is probably the most 'real' doctor I've seen in my life. He is friendly, relaxed, confident, reassuring, accurate and informative above the curve. Couldn't ask for a better guy.

This is a Veterans Hopital. I am a Veteran so i feel at home among the other Veterans. As far as quality of care i see the difference in the overall atmosphere and i like my Doctor.

DANIEL ROMM caused this infection and the ER staff misdiagnosed it and it nearly cost me my life.
Your personnel at the beckley VAMC is a lawless bunch. I'm constantly being portrayed as a problem when we all know that your staff is the alpha and omega when it comes to crime.
I was attacked by MICHAEL SHAUSTEN, MARK WEBB, & MARC MCCLUNG on 01JUL08. The administrator KARIN MCGRAW, along with BERRYMAN, and gang of others who's names I don't know participated with prosecutors and judges to violate my rights.
Rather than acknowledge the evidence and admit to the wrongdoings and concede, they've kept the lawlessness ongoing. Those who proceeded them continued this criminal behavior and the current staff has shown no signs of change. If the office of the Inspector General is not interested in ushering change, who will.
I've asked multiple times for a fair hearing in order to present the evidence to either the behavioral or ethics committee only to be denied. I'm being bound by a behavioral flag based on my actions 01JUL08. The beckley VAMC charged me with ASSAULT that day and DISMISSED that charge 27JUL08.
The beckley VAMC accused me of committing a terrorist threat against the hospital knowing that what I did was get on the national site and sent a message to then secretary Shinsekei. The beckley VAMC conspired with KRISTEN KELLER and TOM TRUMAN & magistrates TANNER and MASSIE along with judge BURNSIDE to run a sham prosecution. I was ultimately ACQUITTED at trial after 9.5 months of incarceration.
When these persons in law enforcement knowingly break the law their not covered by the color of the law. They act criminally and are to be treated as such. They're is no statute of limitations on KIDNAPPING & TORTURE which the before named individuals and others are guilty of. This doesn't include the inaffective BARRON HELGOE & DEWITT DANIEL or the jailers and the others incarcerated who I was forced to fight to survive. I've summarized my experience. To cover it all would take quite a bit of time. I'm trying to just cover what the VA is directly responsible for. I'm gonna exclude the HUNTINGTON VAMC attack which the beckley VAMC and PO AMY RICHMOND provoked and falsified reports pertaining to that attack. Those charges also DISMISSED because the VA refused to provide the defense with the video surveillance. During my husband's emergency room visit and two-day stay, he received excellent care. The entire team was professional, kind and helpful. At all times, I felt assured that he was in very capable hands. Thank you Mather VA Hospital!! This was, by far, my husband's best emergency room visit and hospital stay ever.
