Such a sweet hike! Definitely not a simple nature walk given it’s pretty much all uphill....but it’s worth it.

Excellent 5 mile hike with beautiful views as it was a clear sky. Steep at times, the total elevation gain for the hike was 1600ft, with the summit at about 3200ft. The snow on trail near the top made it difficult, but was doable. Got to see the coast and Mt St Helens, Mt Rainier and Mt Adams. Must do hike.

A fun adventure with great views on a clear day. A lot of gain, but worth the effort. A nice mix of forest, streams, and open views. Ends with great vistas from the top.

It's a relatively short hike, but the last third on the way up is a butt kicker. The view is worth the climb every time. If you plan to take in the views and it isn't summer, be sure to bring a good wind layer. It gets breezy up top. Keep your dogs leashed for sure! The trail itself is pretty tame but there are steep drops in places. I saw guy scurry down a pretty exposed hillside to get his dog that had chased a deer. It was scary to watch, luckily both the dog and his owner made it back up to the trail safely. Be safe!

Pretty intense hike but well worth it for the view. It says 2 miles but that's only to the base of the rock then it's another .5 miles to the top which is straight up. So make sure you are prepared for that.
