Kaylee has helped our daughter have a great experience so far! She was a bit scared of the water at first but Kaylee helped her feel very safe and secure. I love the small class size - she keeps it really fun and light and the kids love it. My daughter has been so excited to attend each week and I'm very pleased she is learning swim and water safety. Everything is very organized, all of the assistants and instructors are very friendly, and I like they are utilizing the LA fitness pool - so convenient! Great experience at Safe Splash!
I had the worst experience with SafeSplash. I registered my son to their classes. I knew about the ‘No make up’ policy but I had a family emergency and had to travel out-of-state after few days of registering him for the classes and ask them to push my registration a month forward but they refused….they took my full month registration for nothing…and they are going to give his spot to next kid and make more money….where is the humanity!!….I am so disappointed and sad:-
This is the most unorganized swim school. Instructors are constantly changing. I bared with it for many years before removing my daughter. When we first started it wasn't over crowded. It may have been an instructor with 3-4 children on each end of one lane. It expanded to several instructors and 3-5 children on each end AND the middle. On cold days we had to break the rules and change in the dressing room that is limited to the LA Fitness guests only. We haven't been in swim classes in a few mos now and my daughter is asking to return. I saw an advertisement for a swim team that they have now and thought to reenroll her while gritting my teeth. The absolute first day of our return, someone calls and in the most unprofessional way, asks us to either come in earlier or come in later. I immediately felt like..oh no! We are NOT doing this again. Cancel me. This was two weeks ago and I still don't have a refund. As a matter of fact, the second week the instructor called AGAIN asking if we can come in later without even knowing we cancelled!! Trust me....disorganization is the last thing busy parents need to add to our plates! It used to be a cool place to go...it's just not anymore and I am soooo disappointed in the direction it went.
Our teacher, Mrs Brenna was good, but we had to leave because there is one teacher who comes to fight and be rude to people and obviously enjoys it, her name is Taylor and she does individual classes. I have seen it couple of time how rude she talks to other people and today was our turn. Location doesn’t allow to use LA Fitness changing rooms and recently it turned out you can’t use restrooms to change either. It’s understandable however send out emails to parents, put signs everywhere, give verbal notice in advance, but what was done is 1 single sign on the restroom door, which I didn’t notice. Taylor walked into the bathroom and talk on her high pitch voice ending conversation “don’t change here, PERIOD”. Poor customer service at this location, random teacher is ready to jump on you as wild creature, because you didn’t see a sign on the door, very unwelcoming atmosphere.
I didn’t have any major problems with safe splash Decatur until I wanted to cancel my son’s classes. It was impossible to speak with someone at the Decatur location. When I did get in touch with someone it was never the manager. Even after I requested the manger Amy or the owner to reach out to me I never got a response. Calling customer service didn’t help either as the safe splash locations are privately owned. The previous manager Bridgette was always accommodating but after she left the location has gone downhill. There was a different swim instructor every week. My son was not progressing in over the year and a half he spent there and I was over it. Also, safe splash rents out a portion of the pool at LA Fitness. The pool is not heated and I don’t think younger children do well at this pool. Take your child to a heated pool taylored for kids.
The instructor are decent but also unprofessional. They won’t even credit the acct for a miss day when you already paid for the class. They also only offer two parent tot classes. So if you’re not enrolled in monthly attendance then you have to test your luck in getting in the class. Also our wasn’t making any progress in parent tot due to poor lesson plans for that age group. So we ended going elsewhere & now he’s comfortable in the water & advancing.
I loved the small classes. The instructor Isabel- had great patience with my toddler. The pool area was warm and adequate parking was available.
My children are learning how to swim and my daughter is really into it. The instructors are patient and willing to work with our children age such a young age. I love that my children are learning a life skill at such a young age.
The staff are so nice and helpful. They are really patient with my twins. I really enjoy the commaraderie with the other children.
I gave my feedback to them after first class and they did a wonderful job of addressing my concerns. The very next class we did was excellent.
