Safeway Pharmacy

I’m not one to leave reviews like ever, but this has got to be the worst functioning pharmacy ever… I’ve only called a million times to see if my medication is ready for pick up and I can never get ahold of anyone. If I go in person to ask about it I’m told to wait an hour. I go back in an hour later and they tell me to wait another hour…. Safeway PLEASE invest in your pharmacy, people need their medications for a reason this isn’t something to procrastinate. Will be going elsewhere in the future

Safeway needs to pay their staff better so they can actually fill the open positions in their pharmacy. I've had to visit 4 times to get a single prescription. At this point I'm tempted to invoice their HQ for my time. If service doesn't improve soon I'll have to take my business elsewhere.

Every time I pick up from here they are terribly slow. One day I was out of meds and tried calling them 5 times. 1st time I left a voice mail, the other 3 times no one answered still. The 5th call someone picked up and asked me to hold, then hung up on me immediately. So I went into the store, there was one person being helped and me behind him, I waited there for about 15 minutes until it was my turn. Then the lady did not even acknowledge me when I walked up and instead typed on the computer for another 3 minutes without saying a work or even looking at me. Of course my meds weren't ready and I had to come back. When I came back it was the same lady and about 5 people in line. I got in line and it did not move 1 person in 15 minutes. I am still waiting in line and not one person has been completed yet, I am still in the same spot. It has been about 25 minutes now. Just don't come to this pharmacy, it's not worth it. I was already skeptical because of the reviews, but I didn't think it would actually be that bad. Ya'll have been warned.

The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Would love to know why the management can't step in and improve the functionality of this pharmacy, not to mention they have 0 sense of customer service and respect. Prescriptions are always late, I never receive calls that my RX are ready for me and when i call to check on the status, they no longer have my RX for me. My RX are crucial for my functioning and health. I have been unmedicated for WEEKS now. Get it together.

Understaffed and the staff they have are overworked. It's clear they are doing their best but it takes a week to get a common prescription filled. I have to go without my medication 2 or 3 days every month.. totally unreliable and thank God I don't rely on them for something life supportive like insulin.

The store is nice and clean, which is unusual in North Portland. However, the pharmacy is understaffed. This was our third year of going there for a flu shot. The wait is always long. This year we made an appointment online and when we got there the pharmacist was sending people away saying he was too backed up. We did not wait the half hour he said it would be to get the flu shot. We will not be going back.

This pharmacy is a joke. My time sensitive prescriptions are always late. They are understaffed and have a hard time providing good customer service when customers express their frustrations. The pharmacist on duty today, Shawna, was an absolute nightmare. Why does this pharmacy send out a text message promise date on prescriptions if they’re not accurate?? Word to the wise- do not sure Safeway Pharmacy!

Absolutely. The. Worst. I cant get my blood pressure medication for pre eclampsia I cant get them to answer the phone to transfer the script to a different pharmacy since days after its called in they cant even check the prescribed orders, im not allowed to drive and now my husband has to leave work today to go and try and get it from them or transfer it. Meanwhile im running 160/104 BP and will end up in the ER in the next 5 hours because they cant do there job. This happens ill the time and they staff will be hostile, rude and ignore u when you are there. If anything is responsible of the death of me and my unborn child it will be this pharmacy.

All Safeway pharmacies are bad but this one is the worst. The place must be deliberately short-staffed like a Starbucks for cost savings. Rx are always late if they’re not lost entirely. It’s awful.

Was here today to get a couple vaccines, and the young blonde woman working at the pharmacy who was absolutely amazing! She was working so fast and so efficiantly, doing a bunch of different jobs all at once, with so much energy, while still being amazingly clear, friendly, and personable. I am so amazed she was able to work so well under so much pressure! I forgot her name but you know who you are, amazing pharmacist!! Thank you! I give you 6 stars! SHAME ON SAFEWAY for leaving their pharmacy so understaffed that this one incredible woman was handling a job that should be shared by 5 different people. 0 stars for the terrible treatment given to your incredibly hardworking employees.
