Safi African Hair Braiding

Went to get my hair crotche and they did not finish the back of my head. Charged me $120. When I went back she gave me $20 back and said the work she didn't finish is only worth $20. Never going back! Do not recommend the Safi location on Roseville Avenue or the location on Springfield Avenue in Newark

I went there for my beginning locs. And it wasn't as I expected. Place was small and messy. My locs wasn't right at all done by herself. Very disappointed but it was a fair price. Would gave it a 5 star but it was messy and fair price for my hair.

Horrible service. First they told me they wash but station for hair washing do not have the right washing head so they have to use a bucket and wash bit by bit. The hair service girls babysit as well as do hair same time. One of the baby was left in thr chair and he fell face down. I screamed. All the lady could say was it will make her stronger. This was the worse experience ever. My hair wash not properly dried and they started the corn row right away. I will never go there again.

Excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere. Their staff has great prices and are amazing with tender headed children. Also their hair jewelry selection is BOSS. Love this shop

I called for a retwist n style of my locks. This place is small but you can tell they know they stuff. Didn't catch the person who did my hair but she was a lil slow but my retwist was not painful and she gave me a style that fit my head. I will make them permanent when it comes to my locks. One other thing I hate the brown gel it makes my scalp itchy. But I will be back.

I went here on a reference from a nice lady I met....THIS PLACE IS THE WORST...THEY SPEND MORE TIME HUSTLING FROM THE CRACKHEADS THAN BRAIDING...THe lady started my hair but sang off key loud as hell in my ear..Then as a customers come in she stop to take care of them ..she also stopped to try buy stuff off the crackheads....Now my thing is the roaches ...Roaches was coming out and they act like they didn't see them....OKaaayyyyy!!! NOT!!! Now my hair ok so I called and spoke to a nice lady and told her my hair was very short can they braid it..I was assured they could ...when I got there and ask for the lady I spoke to I was shifted to another lady ..who had no idea I was co I g to get my hair braided...that Wasn't the lady I spoke to on the phone the night before....Why play games???? So my braids are a nice size in the front...but the middle and back had some big ass braids!!! The lady braided my hair with small wisps of hair and big synthetic hair that it pulled All my edges and back of my hair Out!!! The middle where my hair is really short was cornrowed down a little bit then braided... What ever peach holding gel they used stuck to the synthetic hair and pulled out my short hair and even my long hair....As time went on another lady came in the shop to work a pregnant lady...she looked at me and start telling in her language and told them in English to come do my hair to hurry up and get me out...Why stop my hair to do the Spanish guy hair..I say there for 51 minutes half done..Unreal...Well I Will Never Ever Go Back Here Or Recommed any one I know to patronize this place ...Its The Worst Place Ever..Very Unprofessional And Very Untidy...THUMBS DOWN ON THIS PLACE!!!! Horrible People ..Horrible Work.No Manners..Money Hungry..Hair Is Damaged!!!!
