Went to Sake Tumi for lunch, not realizing that they had only a lunch buffet. Of course, that's my fault - not theirs. However, though the restaurant had only a modest number of patrons at best, there was not nearly enough food to go around. The food that was there was good, but not spectacular. Also, after all but one other table had cleared out from lunch, we still had not received our check. I had to ask someone behind the counter, after which we still waited another 5 minutes just to get the bill, and another 5 minutes or more to actually have the card run and sign off on it.

Met a friend there for a long-overdue dinner. Upon our arrival there were four people in the entire restaurant.
After waiting 8 minutes to get seated we decided to seat ourselves. It Took another 5 minutes for the waiter ( Robert). To get to our table. Even though he walked past us four times. Then we had to ask for a drink/ wine menu. After that it took about another eight minutes to get water to the table. After that we had to request a food menu.
We really got the impression that our waiter did not want to be there. The food was delicious. The wine was less and sufficient for the price per glass.
Between my friend and I, we have a combined excess of 59 years in the fine dining restaurant business.
If our waiter was any less attentive I would have put money on it that he was in a coma.
I'll give the food 4 stars.
Service, -4 Stars.
Next time I am in the neighborhood for dinner I will definitely make sure I go next door to carnivore.

Had higher expectations for Sake Tumi from a friend's recommendation, but apparently there has been a change in ownership recently resulting in a smaller menu and new staff. We had a long wait for our food, but enjoyed the sushi once it arrived. While it was not a bad experience, I have had better sushi and service elsewhere in Milwaukee.

Went there for an international meeting and found it to be very, well, icky. The bathrooms were full of dirt in their vents. Their prices were exorbitant, and the food was not all that special. I would have to rank this a solid two. However, the wait staff was okay. Some were nice and some were not up to par. That's my take on the restaurant.

Food was okay, but they were definitely not putting much on the buffet anymore. After being seated, we didn't have any additional interaction with the server until we got the bill. That being said, we had to settle for the anemic buffet and water (we wanted to order sodas and a specialty roll). Would not recommend, and will not likely return.
