A must try! We WILL be back. The bartenders drinks were fabulous! Each drink we ordered had a classic taste with a twist of oo-la-la. All of the food was so fresh; it had all of us eating bits of things that we usually don't like. We ordered extra desserts to bring home, because we just couldn't say no. Lastly the waitress and host, well they were so wonderful. Everyone was so nice and prompt. Our waitress knew how to time everything, and had an answer for each one of our questions. She had true opinions on the food items and geared us in the right direction. The host was very nice and seemed to pitch in when he was needed. TBH I'm sad it's over...
First time trying Sala and it was very good. Went with my wife and parents. The marinara sauce is very good, I know this because we got multiple apps and dishes that had it. The arancini as an app and stuffed shells as a dinner. Both were great. We also got the charcuterie board which was great. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because my parents both got the chicken broccoli and ziti but it was pre-mixed, meaning pre-made. They could not get it without the broccoli and the chicken was not to their liking, boiled maybe? I tried it, and I was not thrilled either Excellent drink menu too... unless you want Bacardi, they didn't have that, which is a first. They have Jameson though, drank a healthy amount of that, as I am one to do in these trying times
My bestie brought me here for after dinner birthday dessert & drinks & I absolutely love it. I would like to say it's a South Shore hidden gem. Quaint little spot that offer the most amazing desser
Fabulous dessert choices, extensive drink menu. Very friendly staff. Open only end of week and weekend. Open late. They do a very cool molten chocolate dessert that melts and deconstructs as you watch! Also, they serve a checkerboard cake that is both delicious and a testament to the work that these people put into this place!
I am sitting at the bar eating Prosciutto and Fig jam on crostini and drinking a fragrant Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Heaven, right? But to top it off, I am also next to the desert display case. People keep walking up and gazing at the deserts ... The priceless expressions on their faces.... Like children at the candy store! You have got to try this place. Quincy's portal to Hanover Street in the North End. Magic!
Sala is a gem of a place. Great place to have an incredibly delicious desert and coffee and relax.
Exceptional service and every option we tried was incredible. Fried Ravioli is lights out. Chicken Broccoli and Penne was delicious. Cookie Butter Latte Espresso Martini Cookie Monster I selfishly want this place to remain on the down low Strongly recommend getting in here ASAP
My review is strictly on their desserts takeout. My friends and I were having a sweet tooth craving. We had high hopes for this place because they have great reviews. We ordered a tiramisu, cheese cake and checked board cake. Overalls the dessert were just okay and nothing really stood out to us. I am giving this place one star because my friend found a piece of HAIR stuck between the crust and the cheesecake filling. At end we just threw the rest out because we felt disguised and disappointed.
Specialty desert drinks were great. Appetizer plates were delicious as well. And obviously the desert was phenomenal.
We were visiting the area and decided to pick up dessert before heading back to our hotel. The dessert options are limited and while nothing to really write home about, what they did have looked worth a try. We got the Strawberry Shortcake, Avalanche, Tiramisu and two cannolis to go. My daughter liked the avalanche, hubby said the tiramisu was ok, strawberry shortcake was ok but the cake was not fresh, and there was hardly any whipped cream. All palatable but honestly, overpriced. The kicker was the cannoli. Coming from New York City, I hoped these would come close in flavor and texture. My hopes were quickly dashed when the first bite tasted like rotten milk. I couldn’t believe it, the cannoli cream was SOUR!! Never in my life have I ever experienced this. Unacceptable and truly disappointing.
