Sallas Auto Repair

We had an incredibly positive experience at Sallas. I called on a Wednesday and they got me in Friday AM for new rear shocks. They gave me a loaner car and had my car done Friday EOD. Super friendly, reasonable prices, and great all around service. Highly recommend them.

I've been taking my cars here for years. John and Ross are affable and trust-worthy. It's never fun to spend money on car maintenance/repairs, but I know they're looking out for me and I don't question their recommendations. Was told confidently early in the morning by John that they could replace the brakes on my car if I dropped it off with them. It took them 8 hours to tell me my car needed new brakes and they couldn't get to it today. Cost me $80 to be told why I brought my car in and I had to put the hubcaps back on myself.

My van wouldn't start due to starter issues. Had it towed to Sallas, they didn't call me until van was ready for pickup, a day later. Told me that I needed a new TIPM, and that they repaired some wiring in my door jam that I never even mentioned to them. My starter wasn't even looked at. Had to have a friend replace the starter. My TIPM had a loose connection that basically just needed re-tightened. They charged me $300. They didn't consult with me before doing repairs I didn't request! They gave advice on tipm when it just needed the connection tightened. Not sure that they even checked my starter, which is the reason I went. Never again.

I brought my car in for wheel re-alignment and they were very helpful. They let me pick up some stuff I forgot in my car while they were doing the wheel alignment, and one of the mechanics, Mike, did a good job explaining the issues with my tires. Turns out, my wheel alignment was incredibly off, and was rubbing the inner part of the front tires to their steel wiring tires would’ve blown out soon, had I not taken it in. We recently brought our vehicle to Sallas for a routine oil change and tire rotation. John was genuine and kindly informed me of when they could complete the work as well as the shuttle options to be taken back home/work. They completed the work and also sent a very, thorough diagnosis of our entire vehicle's mechanical condition. Even though I don't usually write reviews, I thought our great experience was worth noting. I have a 2009 Acura and had a oil change, radiator flush and rear differential fluid change scheduled. They did a detailed inspection and found a couple of light bulbs that were out along with the need for a brake fluid system flush. We have used Sallas Auto for several years now. We had been happy with the service until this past month. Our sons car would shudder when applying the brakes. The issue was discussed and we were told the front tires had tread separation. I was doubtful but we installed two new front tires. The car continued to shudder with brake application. I then inspected the car myself to find the back brake caliper had a broken bolt and the interior back break pads were very worn. I replaced the worn and broken parts myself and the issue is resolved. Perhaps they have new help. Just be aware that you may want a second opinion if you are unsatisfied with the recommendation.<b class="YQwAz">Service:</b>&nbsp;Tires

I enjoy going to Sallas, even when I hear bad news about my car. They always do the job well and are prompt and thorough. I trust them and know they care about me and my car. I have depended on them to keep my old jalopy running for 16 years, and my kids always say how well it runs. I give credit to regular oil changes and visits to Sallas, when needed.
