This is the place to be!!! The Sally’s burger I had was absolutely delicious. The decor is great, it’s a fun atmosphere, and servers were friendly and professional. They have big TVs to watch sports, and I noticed they have quite a few promotions going on like happy hour $2 rails pretty sure and a band performance I think. It seems they go the extra mile with drink specials to get people in, but with great food and atmosphere I don’t know why they’d have to! Will definitely be coming back.
Great place to relax, the service crew was very attentive. Prices during happy hour are the lowest I've seen in quite sometime. Nestled in by the U Of M off the light rail. This establishment was packed at 430 on Thursday and not a problem to be seen. Smiles and Spirit filled conversation with the bar crew acceptable. Gods strength and love are in Sally's.. I recommend this establishment to anyone close to the U Of M.
I went here underage since I was a freshman in college 18 As of recently they wont let me in anymore. Fine. I’m not 21. I don’t turn 21 until November. My issue is I bring my younger brother age 16 here and he gets in. I don’t. They have literal 16 year olds buying alcohol. Kid is worried about his drivers test. It’s been a consistent problem this year. I started dating a girl one of the bouncers liked and since then it’s been denial every time. The standard for serving alcohol here is personal preference. Ethically, how do you feel about that?
So, my husband and I are old. We don't normally hang at college bars. That said, we were in town for a conference and we did a quick search and found that Sally's has an awesome happy hour! $2 beers!! In Minneapolis! They also have half-price appetizers Mon-Fri 3-6. We went Monday through Thursday. Lol. Our bartenders, Emily, Miki, Marilyn and especially Gabby were just awesome! The place was pretty quiet too when we were there as it was early we're old. We had the pizza, wings, quesadilla and more wings. Everything was really good. Yes, it's a college bar. Keep that in mind. In your open mind.
I definitely recommend to go to Sally's during their happy hour 3pm - 6pm. Half off price on certain appetizers, flat bread pizzas, and $2 draft or bottle beers. The location is a great spot on the U of M campus and is popular. The flat bread pizzas was good just like any flat bread pizza I had. The service was quick and our server was courtesy. No complaints I have for Sally's.
Sally's Saloon is more than a great Saloon; they have great food, friendly service, good to views, and a lot of TVs playing sports. I ate the Black Bean Veggie Burger and it made it to my Top 3 list of best veggie burgers. Check it out and bring the family.
DO NOT BOTHER! First attempt here we read sign that said don't move tables for large groups. Server told us to sit on side of bar where there were longer tables. Fifteen minutes later we were told section closed. Smelled strong of bleach & sour odor. Young girl in bathroom throwing up & puke all over floor. Husband stated he seen her on floor as he came out of men's bathroom. We checked on her but friends were sitting on counter & said they were wirh her. Came back a few hours later , it was less busy. We grabbed a booth and the table had dried sauce & crumbs on it. Nobody wiped it and we had no service so we went to bar to order drinks. Ordered shots & had to tell bar tender how to make. Asked for another round and table waitress was irrited she had to look up what drink was. Never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. Finally asked for our bill, she seemed irrited whole night. We asked if she was happy, she stated "yes" but said she didn't act like it and was told her tip would reflect that. She then had a manager & other guy come out as we were paying bill & leaving and told us we had to leave. He argued with us even about the first time we were there. Also stated they were short handed and she was having a "bad day" I stated it's not our fault as patrons this was happening. Said she was mad & we were cutting her short by going to bar to order drinks or tell bartender how to make shots. Told him she rarely came to ask ifvwe wanted anything else. Bathrooms were NASTY, one didn't have a seat, other had broken tank and 3rd still had puke in floor & stuff all over walls. Plus you came out of womens bathroom and could see men at urinals. Place seemed overly dirty. People followed us out and stated their service was very poor too. It was not that busy when we left.
The burger was fantastic. The background noise is a bit problematic, but I was there to eat, not converse.
The line to the womens bathroom was to the bar 20+ minutes. I asked the man working who was “bouncing ” the bathroom drinks if he could close the mens restroom for 3 minutes to reduce the womens line. He told me it was equal…. 12 men walked in and out in 5 minutes. I’ve never felt so disrespected and dehumanized. I understand the bathroom is 3 stalls but something can happen for long women lines. It’s unacceptable and inconsiderate. I was very displeased with the man working who ignored every statement and question I had. And as I walked out a white man was tipping him $20. Shows how the patriarchy is instilled here.
waited in line 45 minutes to use the women’s bathroom. with all of the college traction you think they would upgrade the poor bathroom situation. wish sally’s would care about their patrons but they clearly don’t.
