I was extremely happy with Timothy's curly blowdry. He was friendly, polite and made me feel comfortable. His blow dry is AMAZING! Thank you for your time and effort. Sadly, I was not happy with the cost of my mother in laws wash and dry without style who she had with Alessandro. I didn't think it was a fair price and I was not made aware before hand. She had a simple wash and dry and it cost exactly the same amount as mine.Service: Hairstyling

I have been coming here for ages, and have never been less than thrilled. Sal and Mario are absolutely brilliant, suggesting what will be flattering without forcing you out of your comfort zone. Everyone I have dealt with here has been skilled, professional, and kind. A few years ago, after my fiancé attempted to cut his own hair, I brought him to the salon and the stylists managed to make him look like an adult human again, instead of a started anime character crossed with a neglected chia pet! Krizia did an excellent job cutting my hair. I was a bit concerned about taking so many inches off but she gave me a graduated bob that can be tied back in a pony tail. She is a perfectionist in the best way possible and made sure the ends wear even. She informed me that the salon will be moving to a ground floor location at The Heritage a short walk away. I love the modern feel and wash basins with elevated foot rests with massage at the Seaport location. Hopefully the new Back Bay location will be just as spectacular.

My first experience there was with hairstylist Renee, she did my hair color, it was wonderful! She was very nice, patient, and caring to her clients, and she would communicate with me so well. It was all great at the end! The second time I went to Salon Mario Russo, Monica was doing my roots. It was not as good as I expected. The hair came off week, I can’t even use comb to comb my hair and the roots color was darker than the rest of my hair color and her service was awful tower the end. She see that I was not happy with the hair, but she said “I think it look great” and then she was off to do other customers’s hair. It made me feel like my opinion was not important. I asked her to come, through other people for like 2 times. She did not come or respond at all. I waited there for like 30 more minutes. I started noticing that my time was not respected anymore. I know I was a little late for 30 minutes for the appointment at the beginning for certain reasons, but if she’s not happy with me being late she can refuse to do my hair or reschedule. Instead she use it as a reason to against me and not respect my time, and yelling at me at the end. I complain it to the front desk, she came to tell her co-workers that I was trying to avoid the payment with more yelling. I felt so humiliated and insulted in front of people.

Amanda at Salon Mario Russo has been coloring my hair for about year. Every time I leave the salon, I'm even happier than the time before. She has gradually transformed my naturally very dark hair to a light, lovely blonde. She has changed my hair color, but has maintained my hair health. She listens to what I want, but is able to interpret my desires with her expertise and creates the perfect tone and balance. Amanda has changed my hair for the better. Each time that I visit her, I feel renewed and more confident. If you're searching for a colorist, I recommend Amanda Johnson without hesitation, she truly is the Best of Boston and the surrounding areas.

I've been going to Salon Mario Russo for three years, and I've always been happy with their services. That said, I recently started working with their colorist and stylist Maria, and she has elevated my salon experience exponentially. My hair has never looked better. Maria is truly amazing! She's is so unbelievably talented and she knows blonde hair like nobody's business!, and she's a delight to work with. She listens to you and then takes that input to deliver a color, cut and style that is more incredible than you could ever imagine. I'm so grateful to Salon Mario Russo for placing me and my hair in such great hands. If you're a blonde or want to be a blonde or any other hair color, you need to start working with Maria ASAP!

Among the best hair salons I have ever been too. Very careful with social distancing snd COVID-19 procedures. Lance is fantastic with full foil highlights, Violet gives a great haircut, and you get a great shampoo head massage. Expensive but worth it. Lynn Callaway
